Much safer now though. Traffic accidents are much less lethal nowadays (except SUV/Truck vs ped)

Oh yeah lets fuck up the wolf population again, now that they are finally returning to Germany after over a CENTURY.

Fuck vdL and fuck this sort of human-centric view of controlling local fauna.

Everytime it has been done so far - either by hunting or introducing a new species, it had unforseen consequences.

Since there isn't really a specific airbrush community, i'll try dumping my issue here ok? I'm following the Q/A structure of the airbrush subreddit for completeness sake :)

Alright, so I just got my first airbrush for my birthday - for mini painting - and I'm getting very unreliable / unpredictable paint flow after an initial clog and cleaning.

Airbrush make and model

Timbertech ABPST05

Compressor make and model

Same name, came with the set. Running just over 20 PSI during open airflow.

Paint or other medium you are using

First some Vallejo Black Primer with Vallejo AB Thinner, then some Scale75 White which clogged.
Now I'm struggling with Citadel Shyish Purple contrast paint with thinner despite its already very liquid nature.

Have you done anything different lately?

After thoroughly cleaning (stripping the whole thing, running Timbertech AB Cleaner through the pot -> nozzle etc) I slowly started noticing unreliable spray pattern:
I open airflow, then pull back ever so slightly -> a thin stream comes out for maybe a second -> stops. I pull back a little more -> a slightly bigger stream, then stops.
Once I hit a "wall" on the trigger, it starts working a little bit better but still not entirely reliable.
No bubbles appear in the tank during this.

Have you tried using just water, tear-down and cleaning...

Just water feels like it's working fine, just thinner also seems fine. I did a full tear down after it first clogged because that's how a YT video told me is the right way to clean an AB after every use T_T
I'm pretty confident that I put it all back together right.

I switched out needle, nozzle and cap. I let some cleaner flow through the pot, out the front without a nozzle on to check the channel isn't blocked.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Second comment since its another topic:

AfD has sought to distance itself from the extremist meeting, saying it had no organizational or financial links to the event, that it wasn’t responsible for what was discussed there and members who attended did so in a purely personal capacity.

Interesting, a few days ago Weidel said all of the allegations were made up. Funny how it changes depending on how much info the public got

This has been known and warned for probably decades now.

But still we continue to "preemptively" use it in vast quantities in the meat, milk and egg industry instead of using sustainable or even humane conditions for the animals in question.

Guess who gets to eat antibiotics evey day, increasing likelihood of multi resistant germs?

Meat eaters. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8565197/

Nothing will be done about it until its too late. As is tradition. Profits are more important than world wide disaster. Again.

Risk of Rain Returns Released! (store.steampowered.com)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by shapesandstuff@feddit.de to c/gaming@beehaw.org

The first two are probably in my top 5 games of all time. This one combines both into an experience closer to the first while adding new stuff.

Can't wait to boot it up later!

Edit to add some info:

The Risk of Rain series is now three games, all run-based roguelites. That means you start out with a set amount of characters.. Most of the cast still locked.

You start a run, collect items along the way, kill beasts, slay bosses and get bonkers strong.

Each stage ends with charging and defending a teleporter which triggers a bossfight and waves of mobs.

Depending on how well you do, what secrets (esp. in RoR2 proper hidden puzzles to figure out) you uncover and which challenges you beat, you unlock items for future runs, and characters.

The kicker of the formula to me is the difficulty mechanic: the more time passes, the harder it gets. Regardless of your progress im the run.

Depending on mode/modifiers you might choose to grind out the first stage, rush to a certain point for a basic set of items, or push towards the boss.

This much is true for all of them - though I haven't played Returns yet.

The first one is a pretty old-school 2D sidescroller/plattformer with a steep learning curve due to the limited mobility and static aim.

The second one is a 3D third person shooter/brawler depending on character. It features some more in depth decision making, secret stages, hidden unlocks, more challenge stages, character variations etc etc.

It's more modern style and fantastic movement make it a bit more approachable imo.

The third goes back to the roots. It's a 2d sidescrolling game but much more modern and polished compared to the first one. It features characters and items from both predecessors, as well as a host of new stuff to dig into!

Probably the most satisfying print so far.
almost full plate, entire model done in one go.
It's a walker by Station Forge.

Some parts reattached in the corners as you can see, i'm assuming because they managed to peel off the fep there down the line.

Very odd failure anyway, i'll just reslice, and retry.

Pretty mean how hard this one was to detect. I paused and checked the print and looking at a full plate of solid supports made me feel safe :(

Amazon basically.

Some things are near impossible to get in a reasonable time frame, or get shipped from China anyway if i get them at the source.

No clue if too moist or too little FAE, but I'm here for whatever the fuck this is :)

Left bag is also doing a weird blob which sprouted two separate new growths too:

Already harvested some parts of the left one, as they were getting slightly brownish at the tips.

Deadlift Advice (feddit.de)

I've been going ot the gym for a little while, using GZCLP on Perseus.
Been making steady progress (besides a longer dip after a nasty cold) but I still struggle with deadlifts, especially now that they're getting a bit heavier.

  1. I got a shit back and inherent anterior pelvic tilt, it's easy to tweak the lower back for me. I put a lot of emphasis on keeping it straight, neutralizing the tilt and bracing the core to support it.
Still, sometimes I feel the pinch near the sides of the lumba spine. Any advice to help with that would be phenomenal.

  2. I got stupid knees. They're not injury prone or anything, but they stick out. Several times now I bruised them pretty severely, mostly on the way down. The bar slides down the quads - as I learned it should - and then bonk into the tissue just above the patella before continuing around the knee.
    What am I doing wrong?

Here's my form at the moment of impact

This is roughly where I hit and bruise

Idk if its just me but these sort of frameworks seem the make it intentionally hard to figure out wtf they are for.

What is OpenTofu? OpenTofu is a Terraform fork, created as an initiative of Gruntwork, Spacelift, Harness, Env0, Scalr, and others, in response to HashiCorp’s switch from an open-source license to the BUSL

None of these names mean anything to me.

The entire FAQ doesn't spend a syllable saying what it is for, except that its like Terraform. Which is a bad name to google.

After searching around, it seems to be some vaugely defined devops/cloud management thing.

Takes some courage to do that, nevermind on live tv. Props to the coworker too, who made sure to encourage her!

So when I first learned about TOR almost 10 years ago in uni, it was said to be compromised to a significant extent by secret services holding entry and exit nodes.

Is that not true anymore?

[-] shapesandstuff@feddit.de 65 points 1 year ago

See thats where im with OP.

Lots of people do switch every 1-2 years.

And swapping a battery costs idk 40€ and an afternoon, full reset costs nothing and takes 20 minutes. Why would i generate that much trash and spend a thousand bucks on the latest shit thats 99% the same instead?

Noch immer nicht ideal aber n spannender schritt.

For all of human history, eating meat has meant slaughtering animals. But scientists behind cultivated meat say that's no longer necessary. They produce meat by growing cells extracted from an animal's body. And, today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture gave its first clearances to sell meat produced this way.
