It is, but only at volume 1. Anything else ending in 1 is no good.
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine. Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal… Even in death I serve the Omnissiah.
Finally, Water 2
The Machine Spirit is (mostly) an abstraction. The AdMech as a whole is a collection of tech support geeks whose documentation and manfiles were converted to hymns 10,000 years ago. Very few members actually have any significant understanding of what they're doing anymore. They just know that if they speak the Holy Words of System Reset and then poke the button with a circle on it, the machine spirit dies and resurrects anew.
So, mostly, no, AI has been well and truly eradicated in 40k and most of what is referred to as "Machine Spirit" is just semi-basic technology being crabby like it already does in the modern day. When a modern programmer says his system is "thinking" or is "upset" he doesn't mean it literally - AdMech just forgot that language wasn't literal.
That said, there are a few suspiciously intelligent and well-informed Machine Spirits in a few places. A couple of them can outright hold a conversation.
There's far too much sequential quest nesting that blocks you out of content for no reason.
The reason is for replayability and having a fresh experience each time. You get blocked out of content because there are about 60 unique paths you can take through the game with different content for each.
Not to mention the bugs
The few I experienced personally were fixed within a couple months of release. I haven't seen a bug of any sort, actually, since January.
Save scumming shouldn't be a part of normal gameplay
Then... Don't do that. Save scumming also isn't a part of tabletop gameplay. You fail a roll or fuck up your plan, you deal with the outcome. Saves are only for emergencies if some bug does come up.
You're allowed to not enjoy the game, and that's fine, it's not for everyone. But your reasons why are poor reasons.
The only instance that I'll usually immediately give a side-eye to is Hexbear, and only them because a significant percentage of those folks have a certain.... style and culture that gets on my nerves. But an individual can still be a cool person and it's not like I'm about to come in the comments and dunk on you or preemptively block you based on your home instance. I block users because they're assholes, or annoying, or argue in bad faith, not based on where their account is hosted. And I would expect that's probably consistent across most lemmings. You won't get a bad rap only for being affiliated with ml. Now if you say something stupid somebody might use it as a bludgeon to talk bad about ml as a whole, or vice versa, but that's going to happen any time you have something approaching "team sports" like this.
In general, don't stress this too much. In specific, keep up with what's happening on your home instance and if they're doing something you don't like, pack up and move elsewhere. That's a core function of the way the fediverse is constructed. If it sucks, hit the bricks. You can just leave, and set up shop in another instance, or host your own, and you aren't beholden to anyone. But if you don't care then you don't have to.
On one hand, we have Wilhelm - court wizard, politically savvy, intelligent, keeps a library of useful spells bigger than your mom and never casts the same spell twice in a day.
On the other hand we have Chad Thunderballer, international man of mystique, thrower of nearly infinite lightning bolts, wielder of the forbidden school of Metamagic, slayer of dragons and thots alike. Unless that dragon is blue or bronze.
Another fun thing about that is that most folks who identify "red" or "right" actually aren't paying enough attention to know that. Go ask them, they think people like them make up 70% or more of the country. If they do try to activate their little civil war they are going to find themselves very quickly surrounded by folks who do not like them at all, as their expected 200-million strong army ends up actually only being 1.5 million people spread out over 30,000+ square miles. Watching the realization dawn on them might actually even be fun if it weren't a herald of Troubles for America.
They've been doing that since the beginning. You need a "developer license" in order to publish an app. Back in the day it was like $50 a year I think, but I haven't done ios dev in about a decade so I don't know if that's changed.
Shitposting is a tradition literally as old as the internet
It's older than that, really, but before message boards it was just pranking, so honestly I'm glad for people to have the emotional outlet this way instead
It definitely already is and some people will literally buy huge gas sucking trucks that they don't need just to stick it to the libs or whatever
Just throwing away money really but the reasoning is insane
Swang that thang brother, be proud of the progress. It's not about the meat, it's about the spirit that drives it.
