Sorry, English is not my mothertongue. How would you reformulate the title in proper English?

Assange has been held in [...] Prison on the outskirts of London for five years, and he previously spent seven years in self-exile at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London [...] until his asylum was withdrawn and he was forcibly carried out of the embassy and arrested in April 2019.

12 years... fuck...

7 juin, mon colis n'est toujours pas là...

Update: mon colis (c'est juste une lettre avec suivi) et arrivé dans mon pays de réception... mais non livrable parce que "destinataire injoignable"... je suis en télétravail H24. Personne n'a sonné.

That's it? You just need to say "you know this actor character we call Tom Cruise in our show, and does the same stuff as the real actor Tom cruise in real life, it's actually a fictional character unrelated to the real Tom Cruise in real life" and you Gucci?

Our CEO came to visit us. It was fun. Some people couldn't make it because they were out on vacation.

Our department manager announced with less than a week's notice that he'll visit us after our CEO, for no specific reason, the weeks around the Easter weekend (Friday and Monday are public holidays so 4 days weekend). For the occasion he asked everyone in the team to cancel vacations approved months ago.

All department employees individually politely declined to cancel their personal plans or approved vacations and involved HR. HR wasn't aware of the manager's decision.

He'll be alone at the office for 2/9 visit days 😂

You drove and pulled up to the gas station to fill your gas tank. You exited your vehicle, opened your gas tank cover, grabbed and put the dispenser nozzle in. You also had to pay at some point.

How can you forget that the hose is still connected to your car when you drive off?

Hello everyone.

I want to get back into healthy habits. This includes reading books before bed and no screen before bed.

The thing is that (for now) my partner and our child all sleep in the same bedroom. I tend to get to bed after they are already asleep and don't want to disturb them.

What's the best option to read in the dark that doesn't involve blue light screen (smartphone) or high luminosity?

Are there e-readers with very very dim light that still allow comfortable reading?

Thanks for your input.

Yes.

  1. Don't buy games with such DRMs

  2. Buy the game on DRM-free platforms like GOG

  3. Piracy

The Quantum games (Heavy Rain, Beyond:Two Souls, Detroit:Become Human) are great for that. Also the Life Is Strange series. Abzu, Journey are "cinematic games" of their own. Maybe Firewatch? Outer Wilds?

Try it. Move your Steam window around. See how it snaps to the edges of your display(s)?

Why is Steam the only program (I know) that does that natively? I would love for ALL my Windows programs to do that (without installing 3rd party softwares/scripting).

EDIT : I'm on Win10.

We have identified hate speech from a malicious contributor in some of our translations submitted as part of a third party tool outside of the Ubuntu Archive. The Ubuntu 23.10 image has been taken down and a new version will be available once the correct translations have been restored.

In french, via SMS, to a girl I was flirting with as a teenager:

"T'es où?" (Where are you?) got auto-corrected to "T'es nu?" (Are you naked?).

I don't remember what her response was, but I remember we didn't end up dating.

"Remember those 3 years of 100% remote work during the COVID pandemic, where we broke record renevue 3 years in a row? Yeah, we need you back at the office twice a week. Why? Because we said so."

Sure, boss.

Correlation of duplicated posts/automatic crossposting. I'm tired of seeing 3 times the exact same posts from 3 different communities.
