The sad thing is this is kinda solved in the advertising space. Like, they know who I am, uniquely, including emails, phone numbers, and drivers license. The data is available, but banks (the primary users of the SSN) are perpetually stuck with 30yo tech.

I do not get any better or worse sleep by telling you you're rude. You may be under the delusion you are responding to someone else.

I don't personally believe in what she believes in, but it's perfectly reasonable for someone who grew up during this country's Reagan era to truly and genuinely believe that serving in the military is a valuable and fulfilling purpose that's greater and more important than the needs of a single family.

Maybe it's clown makeup, but wouldn't it be nice to feel some sense of purpose in your life rather than spending it shit talking people on the internet?

People don't normally view serving in their country's military as a war crime. By your standards 99% of anyone is who has ever been in any modern military should probably be in jail, and that's not going to happen so why stress your little head about it.

Destroyers were classically ships that defended a larger group. They would fight submarines and other ship to ship threats in order to leave cruisers and aircraft carriers to their work.

Destroyer was not, in it's original meaning, focused on ship to land bombardment (that's only part of the current generation because technology shrunk enough and nobody wants to spend a shitton of money on big boats anymore except the US)
