BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THE GENOCIDE IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. Jesus Christ

[-] tilefan@lemm.ee 3 points 5 days ago

every single time they talk about anti-genocide protesters, at the moment, they're calling all of us "pro Palestinian". just like how the Nazis called anybody who defended non-Aryans "jew lovers", the same reason that slavers called abolitionists "n*gger lovers". as if the only reason you could possibly feel empathy for that particular group of people is because.... well I'm not sure exactly what they're implying.

we are not "pro palestinian". if the Palestinians were committing a similar genocide against Jewish folk, we would be just as upset in the other direction.

the native Android stopwatch widget is 3x2, and even resizing it on a third party launcher, it takes up way more space than it should.

the best I can seem to find out there is 2x2. I figure a 2x1 or even a 1x1 should be easily feasible. I don't give a damn what the rest of the app does (other than showing me ads, of course, or charging me a monthly fee)

it's how I crate trained my dog. I adopted him when he was two and he was terrified of the crate. I would put him in the same room as the crate, put high value food in it, shredded cheese, deli meats, and then leave the room. slowly I would feed him more and more normal things as I got closer and closer while he was in the crate. pretty quickly I was feeding him all of his meals in there, but he would always watch till I left the room before going in.

anytime he earned a treat, for sitting, or laying down or whatever, he had to go into the crate to get the treat. at the beginning I would have to toss it into the back of the crate and then leave the room for him to go get it, eventually he was running into the crate waiting for the treat.

within about 2 months he was sleeping in the crate with the door open

every once in awhile you should pull the bags out, pack them, and then just unpack them and put everything away so they don't get anxious every time

like sometimes I just pull out my cat carriers, and throw treats in the back of them. once they've eaten all the treats, the carriers go away

according to Urban Dictionary, it's either a hand job through clothing, or another term for 69ing. I don't understand why either of those would be called an "over under"

I've had hemorrhoids for like 25 years, so I've always been very discerning about my toilet paper.

this entire time, I've been using whatever toilet paper I have found to be the softest as facial tissue, to blow my nose, as well. my reasoning being, if this stuff is gentle enough for my hemorrhoids, of course it's going to be gentle enough for repeated use on my upper lip.

then, a friend turns me on to one of those new "with lotion" facial tissues (my bathroom tissue always has aloe in it) and wouldn't you know it, my upper lip finds it to be softer than the toilet paper. but, when I try using it as toilet paper, my anus doesn't find it to be less irritating than the toilet paper.

why do my butthole and my upper lip think that different things are softer? is it just chemistry?

edit - turns out rebooting it five times is what works.

when I'm using any of my Plex players, it acts like my server is turned off. when I go into settings, it says that my server is unavailable with a secure connection. I've tried restarting everything, rebooting everything, I can't watch my server.

once a year I email my favorite flashlight manufacturer to ask if they've finally made a flashlight that just turns on and off when you push the button, and every year they're like, "no, but thanks so much for your feedback!"

be honest, have any of you ever used the flashing feature on your flashlight? did it actually come in handy? handy enough that I have to scroll past it every single time I want to turn my flashlight on or off

watching Wild Green Yonder with a friend, me watching the movie on my Plex, them watching the version broken into episodes on Hulu.

i pulled Hulu up to make sure i stayed synced, and the Hulu version quickly pulled ahead of mine. i didn't notice a missing scene but i wasn't paying close attention to the Hulu version.

when Hulu auto-cycled to the next episode, even with outro and intro credits, it brought it back to sync with my version. we're ⅓ through episode two, and Hulu is currently 14 seconds ahead, although we started this episode synced.

the reason you were able to download it is because other people were seeding it. that's why seeding is helpful

I don't take it very often because I don't want an addiction sneaking up on me, but it certainly makes crowds more manageable. almost enjoyable
