I have never once heard an elected democratic politician (or serious candidate) speak against the 2nd amendment or even allude to repealing it. The only conversation I have personally seen/heard surrounding "gun control" is all about background checks/red flag laws which are supported by the majority of democratic and republican voters in every poll I've seen. All of the so-called "anti2a" rhetoric comes from the right in the form of fear mongering. That is to say (with no intention of being condescending), maybe stop listening to what right wing news outlets and politicians say Democrat's are saying and just listen to what democrats are actually saying.. You might be surprised at how sensible their ideas actually are on this issue.

And how are poor people supposed to afford that joy when we can barely afford to keep ourselves housed/clothed/fed?

Gross. You really shouldn't eat garbage..

Crazy how, in a country with 255 million (in 2020) citizens of voting age, more people will come out to vote against a wannabe dictator. What could possibly possess people to want to protect their rights, right!? Must be fake.

My soon-to-be mother-in-law is an absolute saint. I wish my biological mother was a lot more like her tbh

Yes, we are all responsible for using toxic products that we need to survive in the modern world. More responsible then the companies producing these toxic products, who should be required to research non-toxic alternatives. Let's all band together and take a step back from the information age. Surely that will fix the problem.

Why not both! I spent almost 8 months mostly bedridden last year waiting for a magical American doctor to fix me. Even got kidney disease from all the pain killers/anti-inflammatory meds I had to be on to somewhat function. Now I'm in my 30's with the blood pressure of someone in their 70's. Best Healthcare system in the world!

It's not half of the US population. It's around 30% of eligible voters (as of 2022). That's still a huge number of people (74 million), but it's a lot less than half..

As someone who has helped organize a union and is a strong advocate of unions in general, I was very upset with the way Biden handled the railway workers fight. However, I continued to follow that story and it turned out Biden's administration had a plan for that. They ended up getting the railway workers most of what they were asking for in the end while averting a railway shutdown in the process.

As @tory said, Biden didn't let the Supreme Court rule on roe v. wade the way they did. It's two separate entities.. Which is a very basic fact when it comes to how the government works. No offense, but if you don't know that you really don't have any business commenting on politics at all. You're speaking with the confidence of a head chef when you can barely put together some scrambled eggs.

I all the time wish we would just fix our damn country instead of letting the wealthy run it into the ground for their own gain.

It's a systemic issue. Individuals can only fix problems within a system with mechanisms that already exist in that system. If there are no existing mechanisms to fix issues, or if the mechanisms are intentionally made inaccessible to anyone but the top 1% of system users, there's no feasible way to fix it.

In other words, your argument is asinine.

Because people like you repeatedly say trans people are grooming kids, just like people like you said gay men were grooming kids, just like people like you said black men were grooming your kids (to do drugs).

Personally, I don't see what is "curious" about responding to wild accusations against an entire minority group with a resounding "that's not happening and you're using a dog whistle to dehumanize trans people."

Things may be less "curious" for you if, instead of starting with a conclusion and working backwards to justify/explain it, you started with a question/hypothesis and worked towards a logical conclusion. Just a suggestion.
