That's so cool, if I didn't have a smart watch that could do these things, I'd definitely get one of these

This might sound weird, but Apple. I was NEVER disappointed by any of the products I bought. Sure, they are fucking expensive. Sure, they sometimes release really dumb products that most people probably shouldn't buy (e.g. the 2015 MacBook). But if you make all the right considerations before your purchase, I'm pretty sure you will have a product that won't disappoint you. At least that's been my experience so far. That doesn't mean that I'm perfectly happy with everything, for example I'm trying to switch away from an iPhone (I will definitely keep using macOS laptops/desktops though) for privacy reasons. I wasn't really disappointed here, when I bought this phone, I knew what I was getting myself into, but Google isn't much better.

Proton for secure email/calendar/whatever they offer now. I've been a subscriber to their paid plan for years, really happy so far.

Personally I wouldn't keep my TOTP together with my passwords, but it's up to you

It's not that bad, but tell her that she can set Bitwarden as the default option for auto-fill in the settings and everything will get automatically filled in, just like with the normal Safari password manager

You can get Vi keybindings in Emacs, I use Evil mode all the time

I haven't tried Haveno yet, but LocalMonero had an option called "Cash by mail". It's exactly what it sounds like: You mail cash to a Monero seller, and get your XMR in exchange. This is perfectly legal in the EU, it only might be an issue in the US, since mailing cash is technically not allowed by the postal service. Seems like Haveno also has this option: https://haveno.exchange/faq/#how-can-i-exchange-monero-for-fiat-without-involving-banks

Just want to try out self-hosting Ente. I've used their cloud-hosted service in the past, and I liked it. Now I discovered that it can be fully self-hosted. But Immich is great as well, I haven't had any issues with it.

Oh, I missed that then. I'm excited to try it out.

It hasn't been officially launched yet. I'm eagerly waiting for it 👀

Same. The closest thing I could find is !arctic@lemmy.world. On Android, I use !thunder_app@lemmy.world. (yes I always use 2 phones)

Arctic > Voyager
since it's not a web app, but an actual native iOS app written in Swift. Just like Apollo.
