I find this phrase rather demeaning. I am a damn good Instructional Designer, but I would eventually like to teach this to others.

Nuke us from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure

There are so many things that add up over time. I wouldn’t say I hate them just yet, but I‘be stopped buying their products. The way they go about their business just rubs me the wrong way. If the only way to try to communicate that is disengaging from any of their offerings, be it games or the new switch. Yea, I’m out.

Fallout. Look what they did to my boy. We could be getting a Baldur’s Gate 3 style fallout, but noooo. Todd had to go and screw it up for everyone.

This is exactly along the lines of what I thought. It’s just so strange to me to have people cheer a good economy when it can mean so little for your average peon.

If somebody could politely explain to me, why is the economy doing well but my paycheck provides less and less each month? I feel like these numbers are divorced from my everyday experiences. Does the inflation of goods not factor in?

Hey all! This may be kind of a dumb post as I know I need to make this decision myself, but I‘d sure love some advice. My oldest dog is 11, going on 12. The poor girl is diabetic, blind, has fatty lipomas, and mobility issues due to diabetes, breed, and age. This morning, we are fairly sure she had a stroke of some sort (the vet agrees with this diagnosis so far, blood work and an X-ray are incoming). She eats but doesn’t really want to get up much, and is generally just resting most of the day. She still has a bit of sparkle in her eyes but she doesn’t really seem to have much energy left. The vet hasn’t mentioned it, but I‘m pretty sure it’s about time to say goodbye. The most important thing to my partner and I is that once she’s suffering, it’s time to let go. She just ate a nice full dinner but still doesn’t want to get up and do much. How long would you give her? Till she’s not eating? The vet hasn’t brought it up yet, so maybe I should be patient, but she’s been such a good friend, I don’t want her to suffer. I’m just at a loss, and this is the first time I‘ve had to do this horrible calculus.

I would pay at least a bit to never have to see these again. I’m not even some crazy hater, I just find them super low effort and the loyalty they have to be very very strange.

Funny half related story. For a bit in my mid-20s I was a manager in training for enterprise (shit company, shit job, do not recommend). I’m this position, we were required to wear a suit, even while cleaning the cars. One day a dude came off the plane looking for a car, I was helping him and giving my speil and he pretty politely stopped me and said something to the effect of, that’s nice and all, but I don’t really trust dudes in suits. A little caught off guard, but attempting to be friendly, I said cool and let him do his thing. It still sticks with me. Something about a suit can say, I‘ve decided to look presentable so you believe me. Not sure if it’s a positive or negative, but he‘s had me thinking for ten years.

Of all the targets, why a library? One of the few places that is still for near everyone

Part of the reason I find Lemmy enjoyable is I don’t have to worry about bullshit just to throw a comment in. I rarely post, but I have fun commenting stupid crap here and there to pass the time. Not once has anyone been a total dick, maybe a partial chub, but nothing I don’t already expect

Hi all! I was hoping someone could give me some advice! I have a new momma and six squirts, five days old. I made her a birthing box and she liked it for a bit, but now she keeps moving the kittens to a place under the bed where it’s kinda dusty and feels like a bad place for babies. I would move them back to the box and five minutes later she would move them back! The box is some clean towels on top of a pillow. I don’t want to stress her out, but I think they would be better back in the box. Anybody have some advice?
