No.

It is like and dislike.

Stop trying to justify it as anything else.

What an atrociously dangerous planned design.

  1. Poor design: Thermal runaway is a serious problem that this setup has a very high chance of occurring. When it occurs, not if, it will spread fast from one container to the next and it will not be able to be put out that is the current fire fighting procedure for the state.
  2. It is very dangerous because these old batteries produce a very toxic and dangerous compounds when in thermal runaway. Again firefighting procedures cover hazmat requirements and it’s well documented the dangerous compounds that are present especially in these older batteries.

Net result. It will create another unstoppable fire that will dump poisons into ground water and the air recklessly endangering anyone down wind.

Solutions not problems:

  1. Isolate each container in an empty dam that is able to be filled with super chilled salt water the moment a runaway begins.
  2. Design fire suppression and shutdown to protect residents and the grid. Keep personal onsite to monitor with the authority to immediately react to fire incidents.

So suicide is a republican problem hey.

Get a grip. Stop using every topic to gain political points, it’s disingenuous.

WebEx room systems are great, easy to configure and great service to use, great for ver large conferences (think 1000-5000 or more) and it integrates with Teams meetings as well. That said, Zoom integration is terrible, they need to work on advanced conferencing features such as translator audio channels, echo and noise canceling is utter trash for the app, breakout rooms limited list goes on.

We need competition plain and simple start finding “good enough” and promoting it because at the end of the day if it’s good enough it’s solved the problem. Like gimp, it doesn’t have the bells and whistles but it’s good enough.

Honestly you will have far less issues on Linux in general. It is easier to install, won’t nag you for rent, it won’t change you default preferences or force apps as system and most of all won’t data mine your data and spy on you under the guise of telemetry. In saying that, it is with the possible exception of some games take a little bit to get up and running but most on steam are very easy and you will be quite surprised at how many run on Linux.

Nothing to worry about. Just sit back relax and rejoice in the rollout of more coal and gas power plants. That’s the reality.
