It wasn’t allowed in the US? Wow. Didn’t know that. In EU it’s available since about ten years. Current systems have high definition projectors with >1 million pixels which can display nearly everything on the street before you.

My CCR time is some years ago. I probably missed something. :)

Is this a JJ-CCR on the picture? The best thing about these are the stands. Had an APD CCR some time ago. Good CCR, but the missing ability to just let it stand by itself was shit.

One big reason for my replacement last year was th camera. The X camera was nice back then… but now? No. Too much capabilities missing.

And of course 5G is quite ok. I like the dynamic island, 120 Hz screen, and some other features.

My old X ist still lying on the desk and works. But I retired it after 5 solid years of work.

I wonder how the got the seals tight. So many joints with some old technology. When they have atmospheric pressure, they can’t work with overpressure keeping the water out, as the ocean will be the overpressure trying to push the water in. 🤔

Wouldn’t trust this thing my life. :)

Ever tried to breath when you head is in atmospheric while your chest isn’t? For example in a pool: swim straight upside in the water, only the head is above. Your chest will be approximately 0.5m below the surface, probably more or less. So you have a pressure difference of just 0.05 bar between the intake (mouth) and the location of the target reservoir (lung). It’s a very noticeable effort you have to overcome with your breathing muscles.

And now imagine being just 20m deep with atmospheric pressure at your head. That would be a pressure difference of 2 bar. You probably won’t be able to inhale anything.

When scuba diving, the air you are inhaling has always the same pressure as your surroundings. When you dive at 40m you are inhaling air with a pressure of 5 bar (that’s also the reason why your tank is emptying much faster at that depth).

Actually, it’s not just another plug. The fact that the same Pins are used for AC and DC charging adds a little bit more complexity to the car. Either you need additional switches in the car to separate the Onboard AC-Charger from the charging port, or the AC-Charger must be designed to withstand an DC input on its AC-Input contacts. That probably won’t be the biggest problem when the DC-voltage is just around 400V, as the AC-voltage is not that far away.

But if you switch to 800V Batteries (which most of the industry is doing), that probably could get more challenging, as the AC-charging-voltage won’t change.

We‘ll see what the car industries solution will be.

Exactly like mine. 96% since release. I’m using AOD and 99% wireless charging.

It’s ok, never had any issues with my battery life that I ran out of energy.

We probably have to accept, that these battery’s are performing at their very limit and have no thermal system to keep them in a specific temperature range.

My iPhone X was about the same. In installed a new battery when it was 2.5 years old and I used it for 5 years. I will probably do the same with my 14 Pro.
