I used to pronounce Persephone like Saxophone (Purse-a-phone) until I played Hades.

I called the Progressive Metal band of the same name like that for like 5 years until I told a friend about them and they did the "hahaha.. Wait, what did you call them?" and right then and there my life changed
Sax-o-phie, wow it's completely unrecognizable as the same word.
Who needs consistent pronunciation rules anyway?
