Too old, too poor, too sick. Nobody is taking US "refugees" in my position.

I mean, I understand, I'm a drag on the system, they're not going to get a ton more economic output out of me. Still blows.

Maybe that will change after the election but I don't expect the rest of the world to be too receptive to our refugees.

You aren't a drag on a working system (medical, economic, whatever). Don't blame yourself, it's all geared for profit and not to help the most people possible.

Thank you. I don't actually blame myself, but I understand how these systems work, and they work on expecting some economic output from immigrants. Womp womp.

I mean, maybe? There's already generic version of my meds available and they're about $4,500 a month without insurance, as opposed to $18.5k for the name brand. I'm not sure how much I'd save having them made in a situation like that.
