Great display of double standards here again. It's fascism when they do it but perfectly understandable when we do.
Being fine with this mean you're no better than the people you oppose.
I don't blame FEMA workers for not wanting to help people who are literally trying to kill them, frankly.
If a bunch of people wearing the same uniform routinely threaten your life, you're going to start avoiding people in that uniform. It's not a double standard, it's preservation of life.
Treating every Trump voter as a bigot is no different that treating every democrat as a communist. Can't really blame people for not voting for communists, can you?
If the Democrats were communists, instead of milquetoast centrist corporatists, you might have a point.
Were democrats the ones hunting down FEMA? You're forgetting (or ignoring) the fact that Trump supporters, who identified themselves as such, were the ones who made active threats against the lives of FEMA members. Your democrat boogeyman doesn't exist in this scenario.
What communists? I didn't realize we had a communist on the ballot... Ever. Maybe Eugene Debs? So over 100 years ago.

Paradox of Tolerance
Implying that every Trump voter is a fascist is idiotic and highlights just how out of touch political activists on social media are - regardless of which party they support.
Voting for a fascist makes a person categorically a fascist. And by accepted measures of fascism, such as Umberto Eco's Ur-Fascism, you'd have to do some major rhetorical gymnastics to conclude anything else.
Perhaps the people voting for Trump see him differently than you do?
This argument could just as well be flipped the other way around; voting for a communist makes a person categorically a communist.

No one with any intellectual honesty thinks that Harris is a communist.
Maybe she's not but her father was a marxist economist. Maybe that doesn't mean anything to you but would you think the same about Donald's father if he was a literal fascist? I doubt it.
You just keep assuming everyone sees the world the way you see. "No one with any intellectual honesty thinks that Harris is a communist." is no different that the right claiming "No one with any intellectual honesty thinks that Trump is a fascist."
If you want to win elections you need to get some of the people who voted for Trump to vote for your candidate the next time. Calling them fascists is not helping. It already got you Trump twice.
First, it doesn't matter what Harris or Trump's fathers believed, Harris is not a communist and Trump is a fascist based on their own stated beliefs and the policies they promoted while in office and running for election.
Second, it doesn't matter what people perceive. What matters is reality. I'd wager most Nazis didn't think of themselves as bad people. They were still fucking Nazis. Similarly, I agree most Trump supporters don't think they are fascist or support fascism. However, their perception has no bearing on whether or not they're actually fascist. And based on their chosen candidate, Trump supporters absolutely bare minimum support fascism.

No, we don't actually need to get them to vote for us. Trump got about as many votes this time as he did in 2020. The problem is the people sitting it out.
While I'd like to see his followers see reason, the fact is they voted for him after everything he did as President and 8 years of constantly telling them who and what he is so the only conclusion that makes sense is they voted for him because that's exactly what they want. There's not much we can do to convince them to switch sides without turning ourselves into him.
So what you are implying is... what? We should tollerate trump voters if they vote for him out of dumbness? If they vote for a nazi, their ideas shouldn't be tollerated at all. Ignorance or evil, no matter the reason, if they vote against democracy, they don't get the privilege of being tollerated. Their ideas are dangerous and should be purged. When they stop having those ideas, we can go back at tollerating their shit. But while their shit is "we want to install a fascist regime", their shit is not to be tollerated. And it's a good thing.
What are you talking about? I said it had no bearing on what you were saying. Why are you feeling so defensive about something that I went out of the way to make sure to say wasn't connected to what you said at all?
There's a difference tho. This one is self inflicted. They are so full of hate towards the non magas that at a certain point becomes only natural for a non maga to decide that maybe it's not worth risking your life to save this kind of psycho (who is actively working to harm or even kill you).
