what ingredients in a normal pizza wouldn't be adequate for dogs?

Onion and garlic, which are most likely in the sauce, are very toxic for dogs.

I found out garlic and onion stay in their system, too. It’s not like if they survive a little bit they’re fine. It builds up over time.

That’s too bad. Do you know much about this? Like whether stuff literally remains in their system for months or years, or whether it’s more like the damage is building up and accumulating.

Dogs generally shouldn't eat cheese or tomato sauce in large amounts. Like, if you give your dog a slice of pizza, it's not gonna hospitalize them, but feeding a little dog a pizza larger than their entire body, might want to go with more dog-friendly ingredients.
