The strategy they'll try is to goad them into a war in Taiwan to justify an economic blockade against shipping to and from China. The marines are already being trained and equipped for such. As crazy as they are they wouldn't actually risk invading any part of mainland China.

Also China has a no first use nuclear policy, so that's unlikely to come into play.

I don't disagree but nuclear policy of China is of no consequence, US are gonna use provocation or false flag as always.
