I switched to Proton as well, on a Duo subscription together with my boyfriend.
I also took the opportunity to set up my own email domain, so I can be more mobile with my choice in mail provider.

Well, follow up then, which provider did you choose that is maybe also European? And something where I maybe don't need to attach my name to the registration of the domain? Not sure that is unrealistic, I just don't like to have my name publicly shown in some registry when someone would lookup my domain.

The provider DNS provider I went with is Vimexx.nl

I already had a .nl domain with them, and just needed another more pofessional sounding domain for my email (that i could realistically use on my resume)

I think both the .nl and .net domains require being registered to a person?
