I've seen this move. This is what I do in CK3 when my economy is about to crumble
I've seen it manny a times when I form THE EMPIRE with Britain in HoI4, it required the short lived dominion of North America to make all of the USA and Canada a British core. Conquer the US and hand it to Canada, perfection.
Just started playing CK3 last year. Just got EU4 for the spring sale and am trying to parse through it. HoI4 is next on my list
Good luck and fun with the games. EU4 is my fav of all the paradox games with HoI a close second. If you need any Tipps at any time sent me a pm.
If you want excellent guides on a few mechanics in eu4 check out remans paradox on YouTube. He has not been active for a while but the guides on trade, military and such are still valid.
