That's because, for at least the briefest of moments, when a toddler waves to you, life is alright.

It is a biological reaction at that point. We are wired to find baby mamals cute

not for everyone though. I'm in my 30s and still don't find babies cute. I somehow feel annoyed and uncomfortable when they stare at me.

I know you're right, but I feel the same way about a baby sea turtle waving to me, too. Same goes for jumping spiders. I don't know where the line is, though.
