If I take magic initiate warlock and then grab eldritch blast as my cantrip and hex as the level 1 spell, is that a good decision? It says you can only cast the level 1 spell once per long rest but if the concentration is maintained can I still recast it like I can with Wyll?

Or would it be better to just take actor? My charisma is at 17 so that'll go to 18, deception will increase to 12 and performance to 13.

Not sure which way to go.

Be a swords bard, take sharpshooter at level 4, find two hand crossbows, and just pew-pew everything with 3 shots per turn (flourish allows to you to target the same target with your multi-attack, and you get an offhand attack for 3 attacks) that have +10 damage on each of them. And you get to enjoy all those nice bard spells and skills on top!

Alert is also a very powerful feat (more powerful than 5e because in 5e initiative rolls are a d20). Going first means that you can cast your bard spells before the enemy has a chance to do anything, potentially robbing multiple enemies of their turns.

This sounds great! This is my first crpg/dnd experience though so I am trying to keep things as straightforward as I can, maybe I'll try this in another playthrough or maybe I'll respec to this once I'm further in the game and more familiar with how stuff works. Thanks!
