Samsung phones have this but apparently the Samsung diagnostic tool doesn't work in the repair mode. Dumbest thing I've ever heard.
I just use a secondary app to lock down all apps when it needs serviced then.
Yeah it's great. When anything goes wrong, you can just throw it in the trash and get a new one.
Like when I accidentally broke the glass on my camera bump and I was able to buy the replacement and fix it myself for under $20, right?
That has to do with the manufacturer, not that it's android.
Same-same, but different, but still same
I have repaired phone screens on both Android and iPhones, but honestly both suck at this point. One of the first android phones I repaired was a droid 2 and that was fucking painful, then it broke again in a few months 🙃
And you believe that's because it's an android? So anybody who buys an android phone can expect that nothing will ever go wrong with the hardware?
Edit: To any morons downvoting, that's literally what the person said. Here, I'll quote them: "Nice thing about having an Android is I’ve never needed service"
Literally saying that the reason they never needed service is that it's an android. There is no other way to interpret the statement.
“Nice thing about having an Android is I’ve never needed service”
The grammar you're using simply doesn't mean what you're saying it does. "Nice thing about having X is Y" means that Y is a benefit of having X. Your claim is that your never needing service is a benefit of owning an Android.
Now you're claiming that the two things are not dependent upon each other? Like if I said, "Nice thing about having a pet fish is that the air pump for my fish tank is quiet." That makes no sense, because my air pump being quiet is not dependent upon my owning a fish. You might as well say, "Nice thing about having an Android is that my mom packed a cookie in my lunchbox yesterday." The reason that sounds wrong is that the grammar requires a dependency.
But the truth is, you understand the grammar well enough to know what it means. That's why you wrote it that way. You just assumed that what you were thinking was right without really thinking about it.
Truth is all I care about. You can continue with your fantasy all you like, but don't start talking about truth, as if you care about it.
Which degenerative brain disease do you think causes people to value the truth and to have a basic grasp of English grammar?
Dude. Calm down. You said something that people disagreed with, just accept that's the case and move on.
We've all had people disagree with us, doubling, tripling, quadrupling down on it achieves nothing.
It doesn't matter if people disagree with you. It matters if you're right. I obviously don't care what people think, beyond my disdain that humans can actually act this way. It's disappointing to have to be grouped with you guys.
If you don't care then why does it matter?
I literally explained in the next sentence. "It’s disappointing to have to be grouped with you guys."
I like to think of humans as thinking beings. The kind who possess the basic ability to communicate properly. The kind who understand that the reason you might say a sentence is to explain something from the previous sentence. Just basic things that separate us from animals.
Its gotta sting that youre both disagreed with and wrong then, huh
Does it physically hurt you when you try to think? I specifically said that it doesn't matter if people disagree with you.
I find it odd that the moment I make a comment saying, "Here are a few characteristics that I think every human should exhibit," several people come out of the woodwork and essentially raise their hands and say, "Not me! I'm subhuman and proud!"
And I specifically said its gotta smart that you failed both where it matters and where it doesnt. Keep up, it was a very simple sentence.
Youre one of those mensa heads, right? You took a facebook iq test and loved the rush so much you took it for gospel? Thats typically the type who say smooth brain shit like that.
But we were both talking about whether it hurts me, not whether it hurts you. I can accept that you're such a weak-willed loser that you are truly hurt when somebody disagrees with you, but only because you seem to insist that it's natural. So I guess it's the natural state for you.
On the other hand, I don't care who disagrees with me. Either I am convinced by a good argument and I change my mind, in which case, I get to be more right than I used to be, or I get to be right while another person embarrasses themselves. It's win-win, because I don't get emotionally attached to losing arguments like most people.
Although, I admit, it would be more fulfilling if the person embarrassing themselves actually has a chance in hell of winning an argument against me.
Its fascinating, how you make up words no one said to you to argue against. Is that a mark of intelligence? These delusions and hallucinations?
The emotional attachment you have to these arguments is oozing from every comment you make. For someone as smart as you, you sure do lie like a brainless git.
Hook line and sinker on the mensa brain too. Let me guess, youre here cause the fools on /pol couldnt handle your genius?
And your comment contains nothing at all. No sign of any sort of point. Just emotionally charged insults, presumably from your hurt ego. I think if the AUTO;TLDR bot ran on your comment, it would say, "I'm angry because you seem smart and you disagree with me. I am desperate to convince myself that you're also emotional, because that is my only chance at not looking like a complete loser."
Barely any reference to the preceding comments. It looks like something that a person like you can just copy-paste into any comment chain. In fact, I suggest you save it for the next time. If this sort of comment is something that you can feel good about right now, it'll probably fit right in to any other "argument" you engage in, as well. You can even save yourself a lot of trouble and just lead with this comment. Let people know the caliber of person that they're dealing with from the start.
On the other hand, despite how much you probably like your comment, I guess forgetting about the subject matter and resorting to pure insults as close as a person like you can get to conceding, so I'll take it as such.
Once you've got a clear mind you should re-read the comments you're replying to. The only anger is your own, the only emotion is your own, the only ego is your own.
Everyone else is just toying with you for amusement. It's like watching a dog snapping at its own tail. You know you should probably help the poor soul out but at the same time you kinda want to see what happens.
The nice thing about valuing logic is that, when I think about things again, I almost always come to the same conclusions.
If you're amused by this, I'm not sure what to say. I guess some people find it amusing to get embarrassed.
The smartest thing you've done in this thread was when you stopped replying earlier. I assumed that it meant you finally realized the situation. Conversely...
Why would you assume that? That doesn't seem a particularly logical conclusion?
I'm trying to guess your motivations, so based on your history in this thread, where you assumed I was emotional and upset that people were disagreeing with me, I have to assume that you are still thinking emotionally. So, yes, this is a logical conclusion.
If you were a logical type, then there would be no issue. You'd just react logically. But you're an emotional type. If you don't like which emotions I am attributing your motivations to, then you should tell me which emotions you are feeling. That way, I won't have to guess.
