I feel like you didn't read the text. I'm also questioning if you even played his story in the game.
He's not my favorite character but he's well-written and you'd know how stupid your "way more likely" assumption is if you followed his story arc
Oh no, I definitely read it wrong...
Just not sure why people act like it's such a big issue. It's a great videogame, but it's still just a video game.
It's the same reason people get excited over movies, or sports. It's just a game, but it's exciting and people can't help getting attached to the characters and players.
