Well yeah, improve your skills, make yourself more valuable, and earn more money. Is that controversial? You might not like it but that’s just the way the world works bud
I'm almost 50. I've got a child. I have limited energy. Expecting me to create a whole new skillset every decade is not reasonable when you get to my age.
"That's just the way it works" could be said of every unjust thing in human history from slavery to voting rights... and I would suggest that the idea that the world should conform to whatever corporations want is pretty damn unjust.
If it were up to me, there would be some sort of UBI, paid into by corporations that replace their employees with AI/robots/whatever, that would support people who have lost their jobs due to automation (and then maybe everyone else after ramp up). I hope that someone young like you can run for office one day and make it happen
The good news is, the barrier to learning how to use these very simple AI tools is extremely low. Not even close to learning how to code.
Just, unjust, right, wrong - who gives a shit man? The world trudges on and doesn’t care how you feel about it. You either get on the train or get run over by it.
Sorry... you think the world population in general is perfectly okay with injustice? They'd step aside and let someone rape their sister and enslave their son?
What the fuck man, im talking about using AI tools. People don’t give a shit if you don’t like them, there will still be a bunch of people that embrace them in order to get better at whatever they’re doing.
You’re sitting here comparing that to, rape? Get the fuck outta here clown
Look man if you want to talk about every injustice in the world on this thread, that’s fine. It’s changing the subject entirely though. When I said who gives a shit if it’s unjust, I was specifically talking about the topic that was being referenced in every other comment, AI
I think I’m done on this now though, have a great day!
Yeah, just tells me you have no clue what you’re talking about. Large companies have already integrated GenAI into core parts of their business, like contract creation, sales and marketing teams, multilingual content creation and on and on. And it will only keep getting better and more integrated. Keep telling yourself it sucks bro, it’s ok. But don’t be pissed when you can’t find a job because everyone else has adopted it and you just didn’t because it “isn’t doing shit”
Funny, most companies I know of are ditching AI because it's useless and a high security risk.
But you do you, tech bro.
Edit: even the examples you listed aren't exactly things one should entrust AI with. Contract creation? Nah, I'd rather buy templates from notaries/legal firms and be done with that. Would you trust a legally binding contract that came from an AI bot? Exactly, no one does. Marketing and Sales? Oh yeah, a shitty bot knows more about psychology than a human professional, sure mate. Keep that up and you can file for bankruptcy in no time. Translations, yes. That is one area that can help, but also leads to people either being too lazy to cross check or those people are out of jobs and you end up with half assed translations that paints your company in a very unprofessional color.
See, you're the ignorant type. Tech bro has been an insult for a long time now. Deal with it. The bullshit you write here has strong tech bro vibes. Can't take you seriously. Also, everything you said is plain wrong.
I'm doing pretty well as an engineer. I've tried using AI in my job. It's utterly useless. Turns out that if you've learned something useful, it's not easily replaced.
But yeah, carry on flipping them burgers and dreaming of becoming the next Elon. Pro tip, you're not going anywhere with that bullshit sof yours.

Sorry... who gives a shit about what is just or unjust? Most people.
As far for the barrier being extremely low, that's why the pay will also be extremely low.
Maybe on the internet.
You weren’t opposed to learning how to use email right?
Sorry... you think the world population in general is perfectly okay with injustice? They'd step aside and let someone rape their sister and enslave their son?

You seem to have trouble following the trail of this conversation-

So we stopped talking about AI tools when you asked who gave a shit about injustice.
I was talking about AI the entire time. Clearly your reading comprehension skills are very poor. Maybe AI should take your job.
And I was talking about injustice that entire time. Due to the matter of injustice being brought up. As I quoted.
So why is it that my comprehension skills are any poorer than yours?

Lol, that's some tech bro bullshit. AI isn't doing shit. It's useless in the absolute majority of use cases.
