So that means we can interpret this as "WhatsApp messages encryption so good, that even the Russian government can't decrypt it"?

(Meanwhile in the us if someone follows the default settings of saving the chat history on Google drive, it's easy to get)

There's a reason if they push so hard in letting you enable the unencrypted backup on Google drive

If you disable it, every once in a while they will ask you to enable with a full screen dialog. I can see many people giving up and enabling it just to let it shut up
