You can also use a regular old torch for this, but those take up weapon inventory slots, whereas you can carry 999 wood bundles without issues.

Lol I played almost the whole game only using wood! Near end-game my kid pointed out that there was a flame emitter nearby and I was like OMG

How the heck would you attach another balloon, mid-air, whilst still maintaining balance?

It works well with those hovering giant platforms for example - they kind of self-align, so it doesn't matter much where the balloon is attached and you have plenty of room even for multiple balloons. You would need to go out of your way to topple these things over.

Otherwise, you can use "Rewind" for temporary stability. Since you're rising slowly anyway with this setup, the height loss from using Rewind isn't that much ;)

I've never been able to pull out any devices while in the air on anything besides those hovering giant platforms.

Nice, didn't think of using Rewind that way.

I always forget about Recall until it's too late to be useful. Every time my hover bike goes over a cliff.

Just do both. Flamethrower for speed, then smack balloon before battery runs out. Wood bundle will keep you afloat while you recharges.

I was staring at this for ages thinking it's something about real hot air balloons, and got really intrigued.

I need sleep.

♦ Rules ♦

1. Stay Civil

This is a place for friendly discussion, memes, guides, art, gameplay questions, screenshots and the like. Discrimination and harrassment won't be tolerated.

2. Mark Spoilers

It is okay to post about "related games" (such as Age of Calamity and Breath of the Wild) but please use the spoiler "censor" and do not put spoilers directly into the title, as the censor doesn't work this way. Posts about other Zelda games might be suited better in general Zelda communities, like the ones listed at the bottom of the sidebar.

3. Offtopic Posts

Anything not related to BotW, like politics, religion, non-Zelda games etc. is better suited elsewhere and will be removed. The same goes for NSFW material.

4. No Advertisements

It is okay to post about merchandise, but links to those "design your own merch" sites will be removed, as those are almost always scams featuring stolen art. Affliate links will be removed as well. This isn't Etsy.

5. Provide Sources

If you're going to post art, comics, guides, screenshots etc. that are not your own OC, please mention the name of the original creator and ideally also a link to their portfolio/website. (Pinterest is almost never the original source)

6. Suggestions are Welcome!

Feedback, requests for improvements and constructive criticism are always appreciated ;)
