I don't know much about Flavor Flav. The article seems to imply he normally wears a lot of clock iconography, and so offering her a clock is probably based on that?

But I can't help but think that it comes across kind of exactly wrong. Chiles allegedly lost out on bronze because of her coach being too slow to lodge an appeal. In that way, offering Chiles a clock comes across a little like responding "time to buy a watch" when someone asks you what time it is.

I don't mean this too seriously as criticism of Flav. More as a humorous observation. Even in that reading, it could be read as a sarcastic commentary on the FIG and CAS's actions, anyway.

Yes he is known for obscenely large clocks as necklace charms.

Also the appeal is still in debate and will have to actually go up to a higher court for decision which could take years
