You JUST said new.......now you say hot. Heeeeyyyy what is this??? Some kind of scam???

[-] Eiri@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

They're providing options, like a poll.

[-] AbouBenAdhem@lemmy.world 22 points 4 months ago
[-] LordPassionFruit@lemm.ee 5 points 4 months ago

'Subscribed - Scaled' to catch up, then 'Subscribed - New' to interact.

[-] tunetardis@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 months ago

Are there any apps that support scaled? I've tried a few and no luck so far. I like the scaled view.

That's the one I use :) I like it. Always a fresh feed every day. I don't view my subscriptions by default though, I view /all with a lot of blocking done over the months.

[-] LordTE7R1S@lemmy.sdf.org 14 points 4 months ago

I usually change to new because

  • I usually get the same post over and over for a long time in my feed
  • not from the USA and I'm sick of the Trump/Harris drama
[-] mrvictory1@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

I blocked all US news stuff to clear my feed, there are a lot of politics related posts here.

[-] Lemminary@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Same but with porn. Good lord are people horny for the weirdest things.

[-] NOT_RICK@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

Some Lemmy clients offer keyword filtering if you really want to get aggressive about filtering out US election stuff.

[-] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I want to control the percentage of stuff each sub shows me. I want to subscribe to news and world news and politics, but then 100% of my feed is politics, despite the fact that 99% of my subscriptions are NOT politically based.

[-] NOT_RICK@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

That’s mainly an issue of scale. The niche communities don’t have as much activity day to day so you see that stuff less

[-] mundane@feddit.nu 2 points 4 months ago

You can set it to not show posts you have already seen.

[-] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I'm still waiting for the Harris trump sex tape. The one where Harris has a 12 inch black strapon, and trump cries out in pain.

Then nobody will want for anybody, and I csn nominate myself in the running, vote for myself, and win by 1 vote.

[-] FarraigePlaisteach@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago

Top (of which there are several)

[-] kemsat@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago

All, top 12 or 24 hours.

[-] ingalls@lemmy.today 7 points 4 months ago

Subscribed - New

[-] artemisRiverborne@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago

I do it by new, cuz if not my feed stays the same for like a week

[-] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

Try subscribing to more things. Theres more to Lemmy than just linux.

[-] artemisRiverborne@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I'm tryna find as many active subs as a I can. Any suggestions?

[-] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Well, what are your interests/hobbies?

[-] artemisRiverborne@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Fiction, crotchet, gardening, hiking, dogs, humor, casual convos. That's sorta thing

[-] Zonetrooper@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Absolutely!

Sometimes it feels like there's Linus and politics.

[-] Crumbgrabber@lemm.ee 6 points 4 months ago

If you aren't sorting by new, you have no backbone and will never please any of the gods of war.

[-] kionite231@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 months ago

"any of the gods of war" ?

There is only one god of war Kratos :D

[-] Cocodapuf@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I think you just angered Ares. I hope you have the right boons to take him down!

[-] TheFeatureCreature@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago

[-] mesamunefire@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

Scaled and then new in a community.

[-] slazer2au@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

New local first ,once exhausted I jump over to new all.

[-] ekZepp@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

All - New ( nsfw off)

[-] EndOfLine@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

Usually in this order

  1. Subscribed - New
  2. All - New
  3. All - Active or Hot (not really sure what the difference is between those two)
  4. All - Top 12 hours
[-] snooggums@midwest.social 2 points 4 months ago

All - Hot mostly.

New when I have been on for a stretch long enough that it is mostly repeats.

[-] Anticorp@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

Everything - Active. There's too many dead posts, and pointless posts to sort by new.

[-] AndrewZabar@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

I have everything by New. It’s not populous enough yet that there’s anything I need to skip automatically.

[-] arefx@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 months ago
[-] Cracks_InTheWalls@sh.itjust.works 2 points 4 months ago

All hot until bored, then all new until horrified.

[-] FrankLaskey@lemmy.ml 1 points 4 months ago

Tend to start with top (day) for my subs and then switch to scaled once I get down to posts that are below 100 upvotes or so to see more posts from smaller communities that can’t make that ‘top’ cut.
