If it’s so “widely condemned” then why hasn’t congress repealed it? 🤔
Why won’t the state surrender power? It’s a mystery.
To me what's surprising is that no court has overturned it yet.
I guess though because it hasn't been invoked since the 1940s so there's no defendant to sue in a modern court...
No lobbyists are paying them to.
That might be one of the scariest things he's said so far. I'll send this to my friend and relatives that support Trump but aren't actually citizens (crazy I know, but I'm in Oklahoma where fox news is on every public tv). Maybe this will snap some of them out of it finally.
They are the good ones. It won’t happen to them. They know that for sure.

Remember the noise about FEMA camps?
Believe it or not, projection.
Any allegation that's not projection is only because he hasn't had the chance yet. He thinks Democrats would do these things because he would do these things. It's the same reason he thinks people want to fuck his daughter.
At each new Nazi rhetoric scandal I think, "it couldn't possibly be more obvious that all Republicans are Nazis." I have been wrong every time.
And yet socials (including Lemmy) are full of idiots claiming that "both sides are Nazis" or "Dems are the real Nazis"
America IS occupied, but that occupation started during the colonization era.
Where do you draw the line? Sounds like "occupation" as you use it has little to do with the common usage and definition of that word.
No, you're right. Occupations are temporary. The colonial invasion from the immigrants of that time still has not ended, and they have seized the land from the indigenous people.
We are all occupying the universe temporarily. We are all the illegal immigrants!
Even if he wins the election, he will not be president on November 5th.
but the law has not formally been repealed by Congress.
Well, then whose fault really is it?
Edit: I hear only cicadas
It was Terry's fault. He was told multiple times to back up as the fireworks were already lit. He panicked, he didn't have control over his emotions and failed to move his vehicle.
