If this were happening in another country, say Sudan, we just wouldn’t get a news. bit at all.
The only reason we get news is Israel is involved, and the US is obsessed with enabling Israeli military expansionism.
Clearly the distinction is whether or not the target is an internationally recognized country with borders. You can't genocide a group with a shared identity and no embassies!
