Sanpellegrino is Nestlรฉ

[โ€“] skarn@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

San Pellegrino is still made in Italy, and Nestlรฉ is headquartered in Switzerland so...

[โ€“] ALERT@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

they also operate in russia

Yeah, if that's your criterion now, your "Buy European" selection is about to become a whole lot narrower.

I'm always surprised how much fritz-kola has replaced coca-cola in bars and clubs in Hamburg.

Well, they are from Hamburg (and apparently also are very aggressive (and it always fair) in their expension politics).

That sanpellegrino clementina is the superior personโ€™s fanta. Itโ€™s the sweetness of fanta with the tartness of orangina. Absolutely love it.

+1 for Fritz cola for not jumping on the cost-cutting bandwagon of substituting sugar with artificial sweeteners. (Others claim they donโ€™t taste the difference, but I can immediately tell if thereโ€™s stevia or aspartame in a drink. Itโ€™s in the aftertaste, which becomes bitter and sticky.)

oh knock it off with the sugar elitism, imagine simping for diabetes

Youโ€™re one of the many who canโ€™t taste the difference. Iโ€™m happy for you. Itโ€™s a genetic thing. Artificial sweeteners bind to bitter receptors in some people, including me.

The good news is my own soda consumption is nearly down to zero because of it. On the rare occasion that I drink anything sugary, I do indeed prefer the full-sugar version.

Also, itโ€™s not about health, the artificial sweeteners. Sugar has become increasingly expensive to the point where substituting it is just a way to bring down production costs. If you want zero sugar, by all means. Wish I could partake. But donโ€™t mix aspartame into everything

Imagine being uncultured and promoting a cult of ignorance. You must be American I gather.

I really miss fritz kola from when I was visiting Germany. Seriously a lot better than either pepsi or coke. Haven't found a reseller here in Sweden, but hopefully one day!

If they have Fitz they might have Afri Cola as well, another cola from German that I think is even better than Fritz, definitely worth trying.

Wish I had an AH close to me, wanna try fritz cola again. Do they actually have big bottles? Might just drive to one if thats the case
