8% and these rich folks are having a hissy fit? I lose more than that in a month when my car breaks down!

Is his face getting Charlie kirked? Or did he fuck up the beard/makeup? Or have I just seen too many of those shitposts of bad photoshops? Whatever it is his face is looking smaller and weirder than it used to.

It’s a thing going around posting chubby Vance, often with baby talk about the zalensky thank you thing.

[–] Justas@sh.itjust.works 30 points 1 week ago

It even transcends across borders and languages.

"Mr Zelensky, have you ever said 'thank you'?"

Wtf? Should I empty my 401k

[–] grue@lemmy.world 14 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No, you shouldn't empty your 401k; that's a huge taxable event.

What you might consider, though, is reallocating the funds within it. For example, I exchanged a big chunk of my US stock market index fund for an international stock index fund a day or so ago.

In my case, VTSAX -> VTIAX. But obviously it varies depending on what funds are available to you, your particular investment goals, etc. Also, trying to time the market is often regarded as a fool's errand; the only reason I even considered it is the extraordinary circumstance regarding systemic and sovereign risk going on in the US right now.

Yes, you capitalist pig. Invest in GUNS for DA REVOLUTION (this is not financial advice)

[–] MisterFrog@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

This is not financial advice, but trying to time the market is usually not a good idea.

Despite the absolute shitshow that's going on right now, I don't expect capitalism to implode. Yet.

Sadly.
