I do wonder if it will have much uptake here. Dutch tend to be quite self centered in these things and have a hard time breaking habits. We don't really have this sense of national or European pride except in certain small groups. But hey every bit helps. I always hope the younger generation feels more of a sense of European identity.

Anti americanism is still popular, especially among younger people. I can see it kicking off as a trend.

I hope it does, probably when most people 'feel it in their wallets'. Dutch people are as you say very self centered. I am Dutch myself btw ;)
