I remember when Trump announced operation warp speed to expedite the covid vaccine, and for a few weeks people talked about how they would never take it.

I mean he was also touting some crazy shit at the time.

Anything other than anger at this man is a sign of mental and/or moral deficiency.

Do you think that everything he does is automatically a bad thing simply because he did it? Even a stopped clock is correct twice a day...

Where did I say he's wrong about everything? I said he is deserving of extreme derision. Anyone who can't see that is incapable or unwilling to see reality.

No that was a question. I asked a guy I know that question and he said yes, if Trump says it, then he disagrees, simply because Trump said it.

Well, it is difficult to take what Trump says because no president since Nixon has acted in worse faith. Trust is important, and nothing he says can be trusted. Above you brought up the vaccine. That is a perfect example. It was great that they delivered it in record time. Thanks Trump! I got it as soon as it was available. Then he started undermining and disavowing the work and calling it Biden's vaccine. And now we may not get new vaccines at all. They literally canceled the meeting to plan next year's flu vaccines.

I literally cannot think of a single thing that has come from Trump's presidency that is objectively positive.

Income inequality dropped in his first term, how about that?

Didn't he direct the Mint to stop making pennies?

I object to the existence of this article. The real Trump Derangement Syndrome is a disease suffered by his supporters, not his opponents!

[–] JubilantJaguar@lemmy.world -3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Pretending something doesn't exist does not make it go away. The fact that you understood it means it exists.

Trump derangement syndrome (TDS) is a pejorative term, used to describe criticism of or negative reactions to President Donald Trump that are perceived to be irrational and to have little regard for Trump's actual policy positions.

What policy positions?

I think I have this. I’m constantly embarrassed by our President’s communication style and clearly don’t see vision he has for our country.
