Dark. German TV show about time travel. The plot can be hard to understand but I enjoyed it a lot and haven't seen very many people who also watched it.

Dark has been a big hit in Serbia for some reason , i never finished it but i love s1 and 2

Also another german one is "How to sell drugs online (fast)" and its rly cool one

Got cancelled after 2 seasons

Firefly and Freaks and Geeks were each cancelled after one season. Both great shows which ended too soon.

Better off Ted was an amazing sitcom on working in a mega-corp. The characters were all great, the jokes hit, I couldn't say enough about that show but it only lasted 2 seasons.

The CEO lady was the best

I can second better off ted. Very quippy and quirky in the best of ways.

The original was fantastic and I re-watched it last year, before I even knew they rebooted it. The new reboot missed the mark for me. Couldn’t get into it.

Never heard of it what's it about

The theme song sums it up nicely:

Way way back in the 1980's
secret government employees
dug up famous guys and ladies
and made amusing genetic copies

Well those clones are sexy teens now
They're gonna make it if they try
Living, learning, sharing, judging
Time to laugh and shiver and cry
Clone High!

Highlights not covered by the theme song:
Robot butler / vice principle
Narrator is called "pun dog"
The voice talents of Will Forte and Christa Miller
at some point they knew they weren't getting a second season and went balls out

The Decameron on Netflix. Hilarious, well acted, interesting characters with development, gorgeous sets and costumes. One season contained so you aren't worried about it getting cancelled.

But the real hero of the show is the DOP. Each shot looks like a renaissance painting. Every single one. Play the first episode and role some dice. Pause it that many minutes in and enjoy the art.

Gotta know your piping!

The Americans is pretty good and also from the espionage genre like The Patriot. Up there with all the top tier shows for me. 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. Yet none of my friends or family have seen or heard about it.

The Patriot was great.

The Brothers Sun on Netflix was really good, and had some surprisingly well choreographed fight scenes.

John Claude Van Johnson was better than it had a right to be.

Bodkin was good, although that was a bit more popular I think.

Depends on your definition of good but Lexx is certainly a show that exists.

[–] darklamer@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 52 minutes ago

Lexx

It's without a doubt the very best Canadian–German co-production science fiction television series ever created!

The Middleman! - It was a one season amazing comedy/action show based on the graphic novels by Javier Grillo-Marxuach and Les McClaine. Staring Natalie Morales and Matt Keesler. It was campy and fun, and it was lost on a backwater cable channel so about 200 people ever watched it.
