Summary

Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy discussed a partial ceasefire on energy infrastructure following Trump’s failed attempt to get Putin to agree to a 30-day ceasefire.

Trump briefed Zelenskyy on his talk with Putin, who only pledged to halt attacks on energy sites. Zelenskyy welcomed the step but said Putin’s words alone were “not enough.”

Russia and Ukraine continued to exchange strikes despite the talks.

The U.S. will help Ukraine acquire more air defenses, and intelligence sharing will continue despite Russia’s demand to halt Western military support.

Why in the fuck is America's president even talking to Russia about Ukraine? He pulled my entire country out of this conflict AGAINST the will of his constituents.

What a stupid fucking asshole Trump is.

To be fair didn't most of Trump's supporters vote for him specifically for this reason?

It is amazing how Putin and his puppet are both lying sacks of shit.

[–] nogooduser@lemmy.world 3 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

And they don’t even try to make the lies sound plausible anymore.

“Just remove all of your ways of defending yourself and we’ll not attack you”. Which is the exact same agreement that they had before they stole Crimea but I guess that they really mean it this time?

Sounds like you could twist this into a 2nd amendment ad

The only good thing about any of this is all these auth fucks are just crabs in a bucket. We say Trump is Putin's puppet all the time and that does seem true, but that doesnt mean he can't get salty and not obey. Especially with egos this fragile. The easiest way to pit them against each other is to fluster their egos using each other.

Presumably, Pudin has some blackmail material on Orange Julius, though it's hard to imagine there's any information out there that could damage him. Russia literally already said they helped him win, so now he owes them. We already know he was Epstein's child trafficking partner; we already know he's a pedophile and a rapist and a child rapist. Whatever they've got on him must be insane.

Putin’s Russkiy Mir and Trump's " peace deal" really have a lot in common: it just looks like war to me.
