“The real problem is not like the crazy guy that firebombs a Tesla dealership, it’s the people pushing the propaganda that cause that guy to do it,” he continued.

“The president has made it clear, we are going to go after them. The ones providing the money. The ones pushing the lies and propaganda, we’re going after them,” Musk claimed. “I think there’s some real evil out there. We have to overcome it.”

This statement means that U.S. Citizens no longer have Constitutional rights.

“The president has made it clear, we are going to go after them. The ones providing the money. The ones pushing the lies and propaganda, we’re going after them,” Musk claimed

His self-description is really perfect.

He even includes the "money" aspect, which people who hate Tesla because of Elon really aren't interested in.

If someone wants to pay me to burn some cars, safely, with no harm to people...they can hit me up.

[–] HmmKuchen@feddit.org 13 points 1 day ago

He is right about the evil part, but he only really has to look into the mirror.

[–] camelbeard@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

[–] FreakinSteve@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

So he's gonna stop talking, right?

Come after deez, Elon.

[–] LordWiggle@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

People do it because they hate Elon's nazi propaganda, so the government should deal with him to fix the issue.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 21 hours ago)

we'll fight against the false claims that we're nazis by doing some nazi shit.

Let's say your above post was deemed illegal by ~~Elon~~ the US government. Do you feel confident that the NSA couldn't uncover your identity and pass the details to a CIA ops team?

[–] Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 1 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Good luck deporting most of the UK for calling Elon a bellend.

[–] madcaesar@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

"There is real evil out there! Some of it sitting right in this chair!"

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

The ones pushing the lies and propaganda, we’re going after them

While lies are tortuously liable (grounds for civil recovery rather than a crime), criminally punishing propaganda and speech would be a textbook violation of the First Amendment.

*Edit: I thought money was speech

[–] Gudl@feddit.org 2 points 1 day ago

Musk aufs maul

[–] ArchmageAzor@lemmy.world 24 points 1 day ago (4 children)

Is it propaganda if it's all true?

Propaganda doesn't need to be true or false. However it is usually biased to promote a political cause or point of view.

[–] RisingSwell@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago

I think it is, technically.

I love teslas... so much so that I want to take them to swimming in a lake 🤗

Folk, gotta show your love for teslas by bringing them to your nearby waters 😉

[–] NostraDavid@programming.dev 3 points 1 day ago

No need for a lake - just take them through one of those washing streets, and it'll brick itself. Saves costs on dragging them out of the lake.

I think that people firebombing Tesla dealerships is genuinely hilarious and awesome. The only bad thing about it is when they don't take sufficient precautions and then end up arrested. Anyone doing such a thing should definitely make sure to leave their phone at home, and make sure they aren't identifiable on camera either at the scene or traveling to/from it.

“I think there’s some real evil out there. We have to overcome it.”

The irony is gushing off of this one.

What lies? What propaganda? This guy is a fascist dipshit and no one wants to associate with his company. Add in the fact that he is trying to dismantle our country on behalf of trump and you're going to get protests. It's pretty simple, Leon.

[–] Mongostein@lemmy.ca 19 points 2 days ago

It’s more projection. They pay propagandists to tell lies, so everyone must be doing it!

[–] NutWrench@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 day ago

Yup. This is the guy who literally told his Twitter customers to f*ck off, and then tried to sue them when they took their business elsewhere.

[–] Unquote0270@programming.dev 109 points 2 days ago (18 children)

So you can't state your opinion of a car company now? And somehow that is the government's concern?

Could the corruption get any more blatant?

[–] Korhaka@sopuli.xyz 3 points 1 day ago

Criticism of the SS could get you disappeared too, why is any one surprised?

Government retaliation against people exercising their free speech rights?

Yup. See Rumeysa Ozturk.
