It’s wasn’t the ethnic cleansing of Jews that was bad, it was the ethnic cleansing of Jews that was bad.

The more Israelis who wake up to this, the better.

The more Israelis who wake up to this, the better.

This number is and has always been a rounding error. Better not count on it.

This isn't the only genocide happening in the world, just the one with the most media attention. West Papua, Ukraine, Uyghurs in China, Sudan... The list goes on. Also, the West Papua Genocide has been going on for over 60 years now.

As a wise man once said: Every accusation is a confession.

It seems the original term is accusation in a mirror, coined in 1970 by Roger Mucchielli. There's also an Irish article from 1998 coming awfully close to the more common version. My conclusion: I have no idea.

why would you invite a war criminal to remember the holocaust?

Satire isn't just dead, reality is fucking its corpse in the middle of the street.

Did he take the literal nazis' dicks he's been sucking out of his mouth before he said that?

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 23 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Just like Russia calling Ukrainians Nazis, while employing nazis

Nothing like deflecting your own flaws to distract a global audience

[–] itisileclerk@lemmy.world 21 points 2 weeks ago

But the fact is that "Israel is a new Nazi"!

Ah, by all distinction and similarity with Nazism and the Nazi party, there are few groups in the world right now that are more aligned to it than Benny's cohort and ideologies. But they are not as effective in their actions. Ben's damned near line for line from the Nazi playbook.

The only hold back is social. The world's not able to socially understand how those persecuted by the Nazis have now become the Nazis. Honestly, the only difference here is we're talking a small section of the middle-east and not all of Europe. The stinctions are otherwise quite minimal.

A small section of the Middle East for now, and not for lack of trying. They're actively trying to restart the Syrian civil war.

Every accusation is a confession; Especially true for Zionists.

Albert Einstein's letter to the New York Times was spot on.

This was a pretty interesting read: https://archive.org/details/AlbertEinsteinLetterToTheNewYorkTimes.December41948

There was a point where many peace activists saw zionism as a good thing, but then the zionists chose a fascist leader. To be fair in the 1940s it might not have been clear yet that religious nationalism is bad and tends to lead to fascism. What's odd is that many still haven't figured this out yet.

This of course applies to Hamas as well, which is why there's not going to be peace in the middle east until there's a secular group in charge of things on at least one of the sides.

I would like to invite, to the stage, all the Jews who were complaining that calling Israel's actions a genocide is diminishing the importance of the Holocaust
