Banning trans people fits that pattern, not because of readiness or cost, but because they’re less likely to pledge blind loyalty to him personally. It’s part of a broader authoritarian playbook—gradual control, step by step, aiming for a Putin-style grip. He believes controlling the military could help him hold onto power.
