I hope these marines are aware that they are traitors to the people, and that they will be remembered in history as the bad guys

As a veteran myself of 8 years, this is an absolute fucking disgrace and the use of escalation by using the military on it's own citizens disgusts me. I'll literally never vote for a Republican for the rest of my fucking life. Fuck this entire regime and every single enabler big and small. If you're one supporting this, you need to check your integrity and morality, but most importantly you need to learn basic civics and history because this is NOT how it's supposed to be.
You know I really thought the Marines in this situation would keep their heads and just...not comply. Pretty easy to just sit there and not do anything.
They literally eat crayons, bro.
?
I’m could be wrong, but I think the military has an inside joke that marines are really dumb. Like they are really good soldiers but they are really stupid and would eat a crayon not noticing that it’s not food.
But I’m not in the military, so I could be way off.
So strange to me. In my personal life by chance, of my veteran friends, the Marines are the smartest by far. But bias bc most of them I know from my nerd high school, and other branches vets from non nerd life.
I don’t know where the joke originated but some marines now eat crayons for the meme
Not if you are in the military, they train men to follow orders, usually without question and under stress.
Good soldiers follow orders
Good soldiers follow orders
Good soldiers follow orders
Hey there, I've been trying to reach you about your chip's extended warranty!
It’s really hard to keep your mental acuities about you after eating so many crayons.
That’s why you should join the Air Force
Anecdotally, service members are majority boot lickers. I'm going to baselessly claim that marines in particular are some of the worst, and that many sign up just for the title and the discount. 0 respect for these traitors.
They offered them a 64 box of Crayola. You really expect them to ignore that offer?
I was a Marine MP back in the early 2000s. I can see this happening. A lot of Marines are loyal to a fault, and many MPs who I served with were drooling for action. The Corps is home to a lot of conservative nutjobs, and they wouldn't see a problem with detaining left-leaning protesters.
Posse Comitatus Act
"Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, the Air Force, or the Space Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."
Edit: I just read this.
"Despite its importance, the Posse Comitatus Act has weaknesses and loopholes. One significant concern is the District of Columbia National Guard, which is always under presidential control, potentially allowing the President to use it for law enforcement without invoking the Insurrection Act. Another loophole involves the National Guard operating under Title 32 of the U.S. Code, where they perform federal missions under state command, potentially circumventing the Act's restrictions"
Brilliant addendum /s
You really need to rewrite all this shit from scratch. 250 years is a good run, but at some point you need to restart to fix shit.
They should rewrite everything every hundred years just to keep up with modern technology and development.
But no matter what system, someone somewhere will always find ways to abuse everything
Jefferson wanted it to be every 20 years. Every generation essentially.
Instead we let the chuckle fucks in Congress stay as long as they want, into their 80s, across 4 generation. Determining laws for technologies and both global and local economic situations they have no comprehension of or even a chance at understanding.
I don't know if I want THIS supreme court to do anything else. They've fucked up enough already.
I wasn't talking about the Supreme Court. The people should be holding a constitutional convention.
The right already has a plan to do that, the people should have their own plan to counter it / take it over.
And actually a big part of the issue is the Supreme Court intentionally misinterpreting the letter and spirit of the constitution. The first, second and fourth amendments were fine the way they were, the Supreme Court just chipped away at them until they meant nothing any more.
Does the law even matter at this point?
Depends, are you rich?
And they’ll continue to do so because idiots think peace is the only solution.
If it comes to fighting the Marines; there is no option but peace.
Offer them crayons, they might be hungry.
You are you when you're hungry. Grab a Crayon.
This is something I have done. Reckless abandon with no care about personal hygiene or safety when it comes to Crayola Snack Time.
War is peace
Peace is war
US marines are scumbags
US Marines are enemy combatants.
Not all of them.
Can't say it anymore.
A few bad apples spoils the whole bunch.
They are effectively on par with municipal police as far as my respect goes.
Unless the ones that aren't willing to stand up to those who are, then they are just as culpable.
We will find out soon.
The ones who refuse to interact with civilians, even if it means a court martial. Sure. But every other one deserves a bullet
Leao, who gained his U.S. citizenship through military service, said he was treated "very fairly."
"They're just doing their job," said Leao, who is of Angolan and Portuguese descent.
So not just a civilian, but a US military veteran who earned his citizenship via service to the country. I'd argue if they want to try and make different levels, since that's clearly what they're trying to do, that he's more an American citizen than anyone that happened to be born here, especially more than any of the current Administration.
Also, how much you want to bet they're checking every piece of paper in his immigration file to see if a signature or date was missed. Serving earns you citizenship, but it is not automatic. You still have to fill out the paperwork, and that leaves open the possibility of errors. We already have stories of people who have been deported because they don't care about fixing paperwork errors caused by Immigration staff if it gives them an excuse to get rid of someone.
Of course it's a black man 🤨
And so it begins…
