I honestly know so little about the pay structure of NFL cheerleaders, that I'm unclear if they were massively underpaid, and this is good news OR if they were already getting good money, and this is just one more thing to make NFL tickets more expensive.

2. No spam or reposts + limit off topic comments
Spamming posts will be removed. Reposts will be removed with the exception of a repost becoming the main hub for discussion on that topic.
Off topic comments that do not pertain to the post at hand may be removed if it is deemed they contribute nothing and/or foster hostility at users. This mostly applies to political and religious debate, but can be applied to other things at the mod’s discretion.
3. Post must have Antiwork/ Work Reform explicitly involved

4. Educate don’t attack
No mocking, demeaning, flamebaiting, purposeful antagonizing, trolling, hateful language, false accusation or allegation, or backseat moderating is allowed. Don’t resort to ad hominem attacks against another user or insult other people, examples of violations would be going after the person rather than the stance they take.

8. Staff Discretion
Staff can take disciplinary action on offenses not listed in the rules when a community member's actions or general conduct creates a negative experience for another player and/or the community.
It is impossible to list every example or variation of the rules. It is also impossible to word everything perfectly. Players are expected to understand the intent of the rules and not attempt to "toe the line" or use loopholes to get around the intent of the rule.
9. No posting links to Twitter/X or Meta owned properties
Social Media products such as Twitter/X and Meta Properties (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Threads) are known low quality information sources - they actively spread misinformation without sufficient moderation, hate speech. These platforms each have billionaire owners working actively to eliminate labor protections through direct action, lobbying, performative large scale layoffs and attacks on institutions that enforce labor law.

$15/hr. No health insurance, +$500 per appearance.
Basically slave wages.
Fucking hell, no health insurance? When cheerleading is one of the most dangerous sports out there?
Well, no health insurance, but access to the team doctors and therapists.
So lots of free horse tranquilizers and sexual assault probably.
Have to pay for their own travel too, iirc
I mean........I make 12 an hour, no $500 bonus, and no health insurance.
And I feel like assisting disabled wheelchair passengers through an airport is more important than shaking my ass and waving some pompoms in a short skirt.
Of coarse I'm also a fat hairy guy. So my worth as a Dallas cheerleader may be diminished.
I'm paid more than you to flip burgers. You deserve more but so do these girls. Almost everyone deserves more actually. We're getting absolutely fucked in this class war
You're job is more important, IMHO. However, we shouldn't be putting down the victories of others. They work hard, and not that often. It's a dangerous sport that only exists for men to drool over. They deserve the raise they got.
And you deserve a much needed pay increase as well. It may feel unfair that they got it before you, but they worked very hard towards getting that pay raise. If I had to wager a bet, I would make the assumption that you haven't.
I push people in wheelchairs that are sometimes 600lbs each, two at time, for 16 hours a day, 6 days a week.
You couldn't last an hour doing what I do before you tore muscles, or pulled your back. But you want to say I don't work hard?
He was asking you if you worked toward obtaining a raise in your current job... Your answer is needlessly agressive, and irrelevent to what is actually written.
I work in construction but okay man.
Also pushing lots of weight has nothing to do with trying to better your work situation.
I actually change my mind. Everyone you work with deserves a pay raise, not you. They have to be really at self peace to work with you and not eat lead when they get home.
Your sacrifice is appreciated. I always tip the wheelchair couriers well!
Wait wait.
We tip those people and it's not insulting? I feel like that's like tipping a doctor or a fireman. No?
It's a little different. They wheel you from the ticket counter, through expedited security, straight through to the gate.
Do you do what you do because you enjoy it and/or find it rewarding or is it just a job to make money?
Either way you should be paid more but if it's just a job, I have to believe you could make more elsewhere? Or is CoL just really low where you are?
These women were getting screwed just like you are. To live comfortably in Dallas, a single person may need to earn around $22.06 per hour, according to MIT's Living Wage Calculator and these women were making significantly less than that.
Former Cowboys cheerleader Kat Puryear reveals her salary through 2022 was equivalent to that of “a substitute teacher” or a “Chick-fil-A worker that works full time.” Later on TikTok she added her job is a “full-time commitment, but part-time pay.”
As per the article.
I wonder if the recent TV show helped make their case
