Hey I'm working on my car too. I need to swap the rear shocks and flush the heater core. Maybe swap the transmission mount if I still have the energy by then.

If I need it now, I'll go to any major auto parts store. They're all decent imo, so whatever's closest, but if you put a gun to my head and told me to pick I'd probably go O'Reilly's. If I can wait for shipping and I need a few things at once, I'll do rockauto, and for anything harder to find I do eBay, maybe Amazon but they suck so I avoid them if I can. And occasionally I'll go to a third party site if it's the only place I can find something.

I don't have firsthand experience but I've been meaning to swing by the local parts yard to see if I can find hatch mat and other bits and pieces.

...between the branches of government, which the R's just swept. Add in the fact that the supreme Court just gave the president criminal immunity if it's "official" (a term they define), and who exactly is going to check and balance?

I figured the outcome of this election would be one of three things:

  1. Harris wins decisively
  2. Harris wins by the skin of her teeth after a couple weeks of recounts and lawsuits
  3. Trump wins by the skin of his teeth after a couple weeks of recounts and lawsuits, and maybe a riot

I didn't really consider the fourth option because Trump's never won the popular vote before and it seemed like there was more excitement for Harris than Biden, at least up until the last month. So I'm actually blindsided by the fact that it turned out to be:

  1. Trump wins decisively

He didn't do any better than he ever has, it's just that nobody showed up for Harris.

Edit: plus the fact that the R's seem to have every branch of government. This really couldn't have gone much worse

Golden rule, divide older partners age by two, then add seven, the younger partner should be at least that old. Op should've been at least 18.5-19 to date a 21-22 year old. 15 is barely a teenager, fucking gross.

the Dem's are gonna run an old white guy out of fear.

Hey that's not fair, maybe they'll tap Hillary to turn this around /s (I hope)

Similar here actually. I usually try to vote by mail, but by the time I finally got registeration and residency handled after 2 online registrations and two visits to the elections office, early voting was over, so I had to go to the polls on election day

TL;DR if the Roku app is failing to play back some videos recently, try turning on "Text Subtitles Only" in playback settings

So I'd been having this issue where certain videos would fail to playback in the Roku player (but only on Roku, playing from the Android app, the browser, or directly all worked). The video would get stuck buffering at 33%, but after a minute or so it'd finally stop with "There was an error retrieving the data for this item from the server". Transcoding issue? I'd been trying to figure this issue out for a few hours over the course of a few days. I don't recall having this issue before mid-December, and as I learned today apparently there was a big update to the Roku app.

Anyway, my first real clue was using "ffmpeg -i video.mp4" to compare the codecs of a known working video and a not working video. The non-working video was showing an issues with subtitles. So after poking around in the Roku client's settings I saw the "Text Subtitles Only" option in playback settings, and enabling it worked!

Hopefully someone sees this and it saves them a headache. I had to postpone my personal movie night like three times trying to figure this out

Pretty much title. Sometimes I want to see new content, sometimes I want to go back and look at old content. It's a little exhausting having to jump into settings to hit that toggle, and it would be really cool if we could switch it from the top bar or in the three-dot menu in the top bar

Scrolling down hides them, scrolling up they come back. I like being able to see more content at a time, it'll make the app feel less claustrophobic.
