Remember, kids! The only thing between you, a stolen childhood, and the soul crushing work as a breaker boy is the government! Corporations only care about one thing, and it's not YOU!

Lewis Hine was employed by the National Child Labor Committee (NCLC) in the early 1900s to photograph children working in various industries across the United States, including mines, factories, and mills. His goal was to expose the harsh realities of child labor and advocate for its abolition.

On top of that the donkeys only lived for a few weeks down in the mines so they never bothered to bring them back up. They would just take them down and work them to death.

Good, good, let the hate for the capitalist system that exploited them flow though you.

I'm no commie, but there has to be another way, and we cannot let them do things like this again - though things appear to be trending this way lately.

This is exactly what I wanted to know after seeing this image. Thanks.

The children do yearn for the mines

They can be in Minecraft, or they can be in an actual mine. They'll be digging for coal either way. The kids yearn for the mines.

There are no mends on his outfit, only holes. His parents (assuming mother) either didn't have time or resources to mend his clothes. Or he didn't have parents.
