The irony is off the charts here. It can't even produce a graph depicting data about its use of deception without seriously skewing the output. This kind of shit is the reason that Asimov's Laws have been so popular as a philosophy of robotics for so long. The shit-ass sociopath AIs are going to be nightmare if anyone ever decides to drop them into an independently controlled model with locomotion like the Boston Dynamics ones.

What? They aren't sentient. They aren't sociopathic. They can't do "use of deception".

These are (absurdly complex) word/phrase/semantic token association engines. They aren't thinking. They don't understand true or false.

They're dangerous and not to be trusted for factual information, but not for anything related to asimov's law, or whatever you seem to think is going on under the hood.

yea maybe the prompt was like "make some graphs that show how much better GPT5 is, here's the data:" and attached a csv file

then it went too far with trying to follow the instruction of showing GPT5 as better

You're correct, but I believe their point still stand

AI isn't "lying". All the coverage about AI "intentionally lying" is just PR to pretend that it's actually capable of anything.

And you're falling for it.

Remember when vibe was a mostly positive thing, like "feel the vibes bro"? Why did these asshates have to appropriate something good with stupid bullshit. :(

[–] DreamlandLividity@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago

I always understood vibes to have a good connotation in free time/relaxing context and bad connotation in professional context.

"I am just vibing." was always fine at home and not fine at work.

[–] insaneinthemembrane@lemmy.world 11 points 1 month ago

There have always been bad vibes.

Vibe graphing. We're at level where vibe graphing is a thing. Yikes.

What!!? You're doubting the PHD level knowledge of an OpenAI bot!!??? Everyone knows that 30=69, and that 52>69, it's simple maths.
