Briefly setting aside the logical absurdity of separated bike lanes somehow only being beneficial to drug dealers and children and not anyone else, I find it farcical that the property on the right-side of the headline photo simultaneously has: 1) a message reading "no cycle lane", and 2) an advertisement that the property is available for rent.

Hmm, I wonder if maybe the property market would improve if more people could conveniently get to this location. If only there was something the local council could do which would promote an affordable, non-polluting, flexible, and high-volume means of transportation that strengthens the community and makes people more likely to visit and spend time on this street.

Nope, can't think of a solution, no sir.

Bicycles are only used by the smelly POOR people, and POOR people don't buy stuff! No to the bike lane! The solution is more highways, more parking, more cars for the RICH people!

...hey hey wait why are you car drivers driving to the massive shopping centers, you were supposed to stop by my tiny shop with nothing interesting around it! I have PARKING! Come back! Buy my shit! Help!

As a society we should start taking the right wing messaging further to hurt the people initially spreading the messaging.

In this example, looking at that picture:

"People should boycott the business because they don't provide parking! Those assholes don't need my business!"

No you see with cars the drug dealers get stuck in traffic, therefore they can't deliver as many drugs per day, thus reducing the incidence of drug usage.

Reminds me of that time the residents of a Dublin (Europe, mind you) suburb protested against busses running through their neighbourhood, claiming it'll tear the community apart.
