But that one makes me sad.

[–] FenrirIII@lemmy.world 7 points 8 hours ago

I'm crying already

[–] NONE_dc@lemmy.world 23 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Knowledge only make you sexier 😏

[–] frezik@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 12 hours ago

Damn sexy sapios.

[–] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 47 points 16 hours ago

She’s happy and putting herself through college with her dancing job. We should all be so lucky.

[–] ryedaft@sh.itjust.works 13 points 14 hours ago (2 children)

If people treat attractive people better then the smart thing to do would be to cultivate your appearance, no?

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

yes, but not judging people by their appearance is shown as a positive trait, as is not being superficial, so people trying to be ethical and that suffer from depression fall into being disheveled

source: me.

[–] ryedaft@sh.itjust.works 1 points 5 hours ago

What? You can't control how others act. Whether or not you judge people based on appearance doesn't affect how other people judge.

[–] frightful_hobgoblin@lemmy.ml 1 points 12 hours ago

Nah, too logical. Life isn't like that.

[–] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 16 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I totally don't get this joke. Can someone enlighten me, please?

Knowledge deflates your tits and ass? πŸ€”

[–] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 8 points 15 hours ago

Oooooh...okay. Thanks 😁

[–] individual@toast.ooo 4 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

OK but books don't make you smart

[–] JackbyDev@programming.dev 22 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 11 hours ago) (2 children)

This is mocking the original which implied books make you smart and also classy. The woman's outfit became less revealing in each picture. This one is saying you can read and be smart and dress how you want.

Edit: Someone linked it. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/bimbo-picks-up-a-book

Five images of a woman. As she approaches and picks up a book her outfit becomes less revealing and her skin changes from a tan tone to pale

[–] individual@toast.ooo 11 points 10 hours ago

OK but I'd bang any version of this woman

So the original version claims reading shrinks boobs and booty? That's not the smartest advertisement for reading...

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 12 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

keep going, and maybe one day you'll find a book in the floor for you to pick.

[–] MarcomachtKuchen@feddit.org 4 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Honesty a great challenge in these days. Iv enver came across a book on the floor randomly

[–] IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago)

monkey paw finger curls, you now find a book in your path, but it's Jordan Peterson's 12 atomic habits

edit, somebody got me that book. I start reading the chapter who's title is common sense like "don't let children misbehave" cool, first paragraph is so common sense that feels a waste of ink. then it goes on a rant about how it makes sense to abort girls and not boys with 100% faulty logic.

[–] bacon_pdp@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

The key is to first get the body you want and then maintain it while you get the mind to match.

Mindless diet and exercise; certainly allow plenty of time for audiobooks and other educational content.

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 3 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Stephen Fry claims to have lost 100 pounds by walking and listening to audio books.

He made a list of all the books he wanted to read, then committed two hours a day to walking. He'd listen to the books while strolling.

[–] frightful_hobgoblin@lemmy.ml -3 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

No he doesn't claim that lol stop making stuff up.

[–] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 2 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

If you've made it a point to listen to every interview Mr. Fry has done, I'm sure he would tell you to stop and do something more useful.

[–] frightful_hobgoblin@lemmy.ml 0 points 14 hours ago

If you’ve made it a point to listen to every interview Mr. Fry has done

How long will that take?

[–] unknown1234_5@kbin.earth 4 points 13 hours ago

damn shawty studious

[–] gray@lemmy.ml 5 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

It was never meant to be a meme, it was meant as a weird fetish thing

[–] frightful_hobgoblin@lemmy.ml 9 points 14 hours ago

Most memes aren't initially designed for to be memes

[–] janNatan@lemmy.ml 7 points 16 hours ago (1 children)
[–] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 13 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Thieves don't steal books. I learned this from memes...

... Memes that were stolen. Hang on a minute

[–] tacosanonymous@mander.xyz 4 points 15 hours ago

It’s thefts all the way down.

[–] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 0 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Odds are 6:9 that book was the Kama Sutra.

[–] affenlehrer@feddit.org 2 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I read it once and really didn't like it at all. It's mostly about social status and the sex stuff has fantastic maneuvers like "punch the woman on the chest and breasts, they love that"

[–] postmateDumbass@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

Well i chose it for the surface level pun, but in context, you have elevated it to a multi dimensional pun.
