They're just going to have a record high number of people not filing their taxes, and I can't tell if that's the point?
Sounds to me like we all stop paying taxes as much as possible. Set withholding to lowest possible, don't file in April. Dump the tea into the harbor. I do not feel represented by ANYTHING this corrupt admin has done, they don't deserve our tax dollars.
So basically he's forcing people to pay extra to a private company to file their fucking taxes.

My Dad told me during a ride in his truck that he was voting for Trump again because he lowered prices for things in his first term and thought he'd do it again. Every bit of news I have seen of him since is shit that's making Dads financial situation worse.
Thats because Obama fixed an economy a republican had broken, and it took a long time to reverse that. How were things by the end of this cheeto nazi's first term?

There's still "IRS Free File", which is a different thing where you have to go through a middle man to get it while they try their damndest to "upgrade" you to the paid version. And presumably they got some kind of money from the US gov either way.
Direct File was a sane program that cut them out and let people file their taxes completely directly. The leeches lobbied against it.
Sigh. I used Direct File last year and it was great. Back to FreeTaxUSA I guess. The least shitty option I'm aware of.
