2A Folks: Harder daddy

[–] Rooskie91@discuss.online 17 points 2 weeks ago

It seems the use of military on foreign soil has already had that effect.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 2 weeks ago

These people are just incapable of taking any kind of actual hard stance and speaking the truth, aren't they?

This is a fascist takeover, and zero democrat establishment types have called it what it is.

don't be silly Barack, they'll be greeted as liberators. isn't that what Iraqis did?

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Do you think Obama started the Iraq war, or...?

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

no? but he did continue those wars and even escalate. he's the drone guy. the drone strikes on weddings guy. ask me how much i give a shit if he started it. my point wasn't that he started it, it's that it's funny how the US army presence all of a sudden seems bad when it's US soil when people like him were all too happy using that army on civilians of other countries.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 weeks ago

10X the drone strikes of Bush.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Did Obama say that the Iraqis would "greet us as liberators" like your previous comment references? It's amazing how often I see people blaming Obama for shit that Bush did.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

i didn't say he said it. wasn't my point though. he was only a part of the same machine. this is about US foreign policy, not what barack personally did or didn't do.

btw it wasn't bush either. I'd get my facts straight if I were trying to "correct" me.

I mean... That's the point of a military. To deploy to foreign lands or repel a foreign invasion.

[–] BussyGyatt@feddit.org 7 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

you dear sweet naive fucking summer child, no. you're gonna learn what we were using the military for. i wonder if you will be so flippant about its purpose then.

[–] timbuck2themoon@sh.itjust.works -1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I never said you couldn't disagree on its usage. That is the express purpose though. FOREIGN enemies.

Try reading next time. Believe me, Im very much against the mic, etc.

No shit Obama, but please feel free to stay on your lifetime vacation or whatever the fuck you're doing.

Obama signed the 2012 NDAA which created the power troops wield as they are mobilized on US soil. It expanded the concept of the "battlefield" on the "war on terror" to include US soil, and empowered indefinite detention without charge or trial, and without the possibility for review, of anyone an offical could claim was a "terrorist". Including US citizens. All some pig has to say is that they suspect you of terrorism, and they can imprison you for life without trial and with no recourse for you. Which is clearly unconstitutional.

If he didnt like it he should have vetoed it. He signed it instead. I hope he's proud of his legacy on that one.

[–] HailSeitan@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago

That’s right! They should only violate Americans rights when they’re overseas, right B?

[–] srecko@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I thought Obama was a mythical creature that appears every four years to ruin the election.

[–] thatradomguy@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Something something strike something something overtake.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Fuck you Obama. Fuck you.

You did so fucking little. You were a symbol, and you chose, and are continuing to choose, to be a useless, arrogant, generic politician.

Fuck this shit. Wake the fuck up, America. You all want Newsom in 2028? Have you lost your damn mind?! Shake the dust. Shake. The. Fucking. Dust.

[–] hildegarde@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 weeks ago

What do you suggest he do about it? Hasn't he been retired from public office for over a decade?

[–] QueenFern@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago

Barack Obama is a bitch

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 weeks ago

The guy who ordered 563 drone strikes, 10X his predecessor.

[–] vga@sopuli.xyz 1 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah, much better when they're on foreign soil.
