I very often feel like asking someone "why do you talk so much?" I don't, because it's rude, but I also keep feeling the rudeness of their incessant babbling outweighs it by far.
You can indirectly tell them by putting your headphones on when they start to talk.

I’m quiet/reserved because I’m protecting you. I have 0 filters and when I start talking I gain momentum and there’s no stopping that torrential downpour of incoherent truth and the raw stream of powerful yet sometimes also subtle thoughts that come off the dome.
