I liked they way they bridged the Apollo release and ASD site B in the trailer.

This trailer was awesome to watch... I definitely need to check out the Onyx facilities now.

I might be blind but there doesn't seem to be any mention of fixing the NPC spawn issues - does anyone know if that's still a thing? Onyx locations are cool but the Serious Sam level of enemy horde make it a pretty miserable experience for me so I'm curious if it's worth trying again.

That's a pretty subjective ask. My tolerance for the amount of NPCs is going to be different than yours. If it wasn't for you before you might want to work with a crew cause it didn't feel like a change.

With that said the first new mission is a timed puzzle PITA solo. Doable yeah sure. The NPCs seemed to be the same the worms respawns relentlessly while you are trying to complete the first puzzle that resets after a certain about of radiation bursts. I also had 3 different players arrive while I was doing the mission. That seems to be a change. I rarely got encounters before.

Idk either way you're just going to have to try it out yourself to see if you can tolerate it. Good luck and maybe see you in the verse.

PS: Don't fall into the worm pool like I just did.

I'm talking specifically about the issue where NPCs respawn every 30 seconds or so - this is a confirmed bug and CIG tried to fix it before 4.3.1 but it didn't really take as far as I'm aware. Benoit also talked about them working on a proper NPC manager to take care of these things but that's a long term solution.

I'm just curious if the respawn rate saw any further fixes with this release.

Ok, just got done with an Onyx facility, while I felt overrun at Lazarus, Onyx was challenging solo, but it wasn't like the enemies we're respawning every minute. I didn't time it well, but it felt like a 5 minute respawn timer. It was doable, and the parallax rifle is definitely my new favorite mid-range weapon.

I would recommend at least taking a nursa with you if you can carry one.

I might give it a shot when I have some time if that's a case, sounds a bit better than on launch at least. Thanks for checking!

I spent last night taking on a Lazarus center.

I could barely even make it to the shuttle because the enemies would respawn every minute or two.

Every time I ended up with a Tier 3 injury, I would go into a building to treat it, and when I came back outside, everyone had respawned again.

If I had gone in with a team we would have been fine. But, solo, it was a lot. I'm thinking I'll go back with a parallax or some other electron weapon that does a bit of area damage since the enemies are all so clustered together.
