Anti Meme

We're the anti-meme community where the joke is that there isn't one, and by explaining that, we've ruined the whole thing, but we all find the collective misery hilarious.

The music of comedy is more important than the joke itself.

Follow the instance rules please, this is a lovely instance.

I've found that the most hated political stance is that you can pick and choose from both to build your own and that it's better that way.

Which points do both sides get right?

That you dont want a centrist amongst your ranks

American left is essentially European centrist though.

What I don't like about the left is that folks are quick to condemn, while the right while welcome them for those same condemnations. Yelling racist is easy. Having a conversation, figuring out why people think that way, and trying to tell them your opinion in a kind way is hard.

Yes, the same hate that gets you condemned by the left will be welcomed by the right. Because the right welcomes hate.

Said a different, and more useful, way the right prefers a lack of social tension, while the left strives for social cohesion. The former only requires that no one be too different. The latter requires buy-in that everyone belongs so long as they also buy-in. If you refuse to buy-in, you get excluded.

That being said, radical kindness is punk as fuck. But on the other hand, requiring kindness from others is super shitty.

And you can say the same thing about the right with being of another skin color, sexuality, or being trans. With the big difference that these are things people ARE, while the left condemns people for what they DO.

And I certainly see a big difference there.

And while you are right that conversations need to happen, it is hard to stay calm when the other side wants to literally extinguish and genocide you or other humans in general (for those with empathy who care about more than only themselves)
