I'd say having parts of your brain being eaten by a worm has a higher chance of being disconnected from God at about a 1000000000000:1 ratio. The fluoride isn't the problem.

Hell, I wouldn't surprised if the fluoride harms the worm in his head and therefore it forces him to say "FlUoRiDe BaD!".

[–] mcv@lemmy.zip 11 points 2 days ago

You know what disconnects you from God? Greed. Too much money. That's what disconnects you from God. You cannot serve both God and Mammon. The Bible never mentioned fluoride.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 30 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Why is God being invoked in ANY discussion of governmental policy? God is totally irrelevant to any government policy.

Welcome to America.

Sadly.

“Fluoride disconnects one from God,” a listener with the username “Peter & Melissa BioHacking Stem Cells” wrote during one call. As part of his agenda, Kennedy has directed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to review the use of fluoride supplementation in water supplies.

Ok, yep, this is the kind of insane, nutjob "Christianity" I grew up in and around.

These actual lunatic people just make up their minds that... something they don't like, for reasons that they know are nonsense, it just gives them an 'ick' for some reason... yep, its just haram now, its demons, because God told me personally when I prayed about it one day.

This is American Christianity, a gigantic ego trip for mentally ill people, and you're an anti-religious bigot if you criticize their anti-logic, their fever dreams.

Oh how I wish that all 100 million Americans who believe Trump is part of God's plan just actually had been raptured, I am so beyond tired of dealing with these people's aggressive and hateful delusions.

EDIT:

it is very funny to me that a year ago, on lemmy, i had liberal boomers tut-tuting at me when I would say things like "no, you don't get it, roughly one third of America fundamentally thinks democracy is stupid and would prefer a theocracy with American state propoganda characteristics", and then back that up with statistics.

Pshaw! What a ludicrous notion! The idea that you could suggest-

shhhhh its time to retire now, liberal boomer, retire from having agressively delusional opinions, shhhhh no you don't get to actually retire, no, your house isn't worth what you think it is, no, your investments aren't going to be enough, shhhh its ok, your mindless self indulgence didn't work out so well, just like we all told you it wouldn't, shhhhh, its time for bed.

So whenever you see someone with a lot of teeth missing and the ones still there yellow and brown, you know they are connected to God. All people in heaven have bad teeth. Wait a minute... Is England heaven?

[–] ErmahgherdDavid@lemmy.dbzer0.com 18 points 3 days ago (2 children)

A lot of people in England get Turkey Teeth these days. Few things are more godless than that.

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Ah, the Hollywood anchorman smile, or cheap car salesman smile. Creepy AF.

In Dutch there's a saying "wie mooi wil gaan moet pijn doorstaan", translated "who wants to go pretty needs to endure pain". But these days with all the botox, bleaching, fillers, lifters, etc it's more like "endure pain to become a plastic toxic nightmare".

Ah yes the all powerful all knowing god thwarted by an atom he created. Guess we have the answer to the “could got create a stone heavy he couldn’t lift” paradox

[–] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 112 points 3 days ago (11 children)

IF there is a chemical that "disconnects" you from GOD, then there must ALSO be a chemical that "connects" you to GOD.

LSD?

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 45 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Replace the fluoride in the water with lsd. Fuck it let the country go down in a blaze of interesting

[–] thebeardedpotato@lemmy.world 42 points 3 days ago (9 children)

Dude LSD in the water supply would be better than whatever the fuck is going on in this world right now

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago

Ikr, I wouldn't enjoy it, the time hallucinations would be rough and traffic would be creative to say the least, but fuck it we ball

Raw Milk. Brings you straight to him.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 24 points 3 days ago (3 children)

LSD made me realize that we’re all connected and if you kill someone you’re killing part of yourself which really didn’t help my career as a hitman.

If a chemical can disconnect you from God, then what you are calling God is not God.

I’ve always enjoyed how God is simultaneously portrayed as all-powerful and all-knowing, yet extremely fragile and petty. There’s the “wrong” kind of relationship, heavy metal, now fluoride, and the list goes on.

[–] Zink@programming.dev 10 points 2 days ago

That reminds me of the fascist playbook, where the enemy is both strong and weak.

Maybe we should just call it the "lying to control others" playbook.

“It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids, without the knowledge of the individual, certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.”

[–] friend_of_satan@lemmy.world 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Haha, I'm literally loling over here. Fucking delusional, asinine bullshit. I can't believe these people are in charge.

[–] Zetta@mander.xyz 14 points 2 days ago (1 children)

50% of Americans are delusional religious nuts, not unexpected they would become our leaders. It's very sad to see, religion really harms society.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago

Religion is the single most regressive thing to ever happen to our species. We'd be so much more advanced by now if it never existed.

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If MAGA is any indication, being connected to Yahweh's wi-fi is a horrific thing that destroys body and soul. Give me the fluoride.

This is why aliens don't stop to communicate with us. They see what kind of trash we're producing as a species and letting rise to the top of our social structures and they just move on to the next solar system.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Or maybe nobody ever makes it to interstellar travel. They always end up destroying themselves first, like we're currently busy doing.

Douglas Adams was right about the hyperspace bypass, it just goes around us rather than through our system. Earth is the galactic equivalent of a shitty racist map dot town in Arkansas

[–] AnimalsDream@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 day ago

Checkmate, atheists.

[–] DamienGramatacus@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago

What about testosterone and anabolic steroid injections Bobby?

[–] ech@lemmy.ca 32 points 3 days ago (2 children)

"Mandrake. Have you ever seen a Commie with a glass of water?"

[–] Revan343@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 days ago

I misread that as 'Florida' the first time around and thought "Hell of a claim, but it makes sense..."

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Or, in other words, something disconnected him from reality.

Fluoride Disconnects One from God

OK, but at least one's teeth are strong and healthy.

[–] Meowie_Gamer@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

[insert that one gif of kirby falling off a cliff]

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 26 points 3 days ago

In normal times, people like that would be in an institute and properly cared for.

[–] Paragone@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

His "god" is what I call universal-evil, from what I can see.

His war against evidence-based-medicine pleases demons, not angels, I'm certain.

& his gaslighting is just "icing on the cake", isn't it?

We have to compete-against evil more-effectively, or we lose the world, & this isn't sinking-in:

people are still believing that social-assertion is the "means" of making everything work.

Making our lives & our projects/businesses/communities/etc work right is far more effective, than mere social-assertion.

"politics" has brainwashed people into believing that collective-opinion is "god".

Universe's Natural Selection couldn't care less about one's established social-assertion, & humankind's going to be mown-down if humankind won't understand that, this century..

Please let this horror show end all ready…

[–] SpookyMulder@twun.io 25 points 3 days ago

Clickbait title, but decent journalism.

That flouride quote is from one of the 5,000 rando attendees in one meeting. It was not uttered by who you're supposed to think said it.

Not that it matters, because it might as well have been said by Oz or RFK Jr or Orange Julius.

[–] GaryGhost@lemmy.world 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Anything this guy says is bullshit, I'll do the opposite of whatever he says, after all I am just as much of a doctor as he is.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 6 points 2 days ago

You're probably more of a doctor than him, because at least you have Critical Thinking Skills. Either this fool doesn't have any, or he's just being purposefully evil, or both, which is most likely.

[–] tanisnikana@lemmy.world 20 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

chugs as much fluoride as a data center chugs water

[–] Blaster_M@lemmy.world 18 points 3 days ago

This is stupid. Beyond stupid. Cave brained.

[–] tal@lemmy.today 18 points 3 days ago

“Fluoride disconnects one from God,” a listener with the username “Peter & Melissa BioHacking Stem Cells” wrote during one call.

One can but hope that Satan never discovers Yahweh's Kryptonite.
